((My idea behind having 2 daggers was to keep one concealed while carrying the other openly, not to use them at the same time.))

Head to the tavern, see if there is a book shop on the way. Stop to read ANYTHING visible.

Can I get a metal helmet? Cat leather won't do much against a sword.

Oh, then go to a bar or tavern. That is the traditional party meeting place.

Can I get a metal helmet? Cat leather won't do much against a sword.

Oh, then go to a bar or tavern. That is the traditional party meeting place.

Rodrik heads off in to the city, looking to purchase a metal helmet.

After a long afternoon of haggling you manage to buy a new bronze helmet, it's square sided almost bucket like with a T shaped opening leaving your eyes and mouth exposed, a long square nose guard runs down to your upper lip.

With a lighter purse and the helmet on your head, you head towards what ever tavern the others have ended up in.

Find someone in need of help
(so i got all the stuff i asked for?)
I head out with Leonidas in to find people to help out.
Leonidas and Drustan head out in such of people to help, you are soon sent to meet a leading towns man, Denzin Morrass in the Oxen and Bow...

Head to the tavern, see if there is a book shop on the way. Stop to read ANYTHING visible.
To slowly make your war to the tavern, until your path leads you to a sign, a shop sign stating Ulric's Scroll Emporium.
After a few minutes browsing, you come away a few coins lighter having exchanged your old book for a new one.
------

The tavern. The penultimate hub of almost any adventure. Melinda goes to find one.
-----
It takes you a few minutes to find Oxen and Bow, inside it's clay brick walls, you find both beer and lodgings.
Your in the middle of your third tanked of sweet rice wine when Leonidas and Drustan arriveand head to the tabe of  a old white haired man.

-----------
Leonidas and Drustan.
-----------
In side the Oxen and Bow, Denzin Morrass is sat by him self, he is an old man, with hair as white as snow and a face deeply worn with the lines time and worry.

"So you are the men that have came, i had hoped for more but it can' be helped.
As  King Tyrfingrson's Scroll master, i am in charge of paying bounty,  and we have a big problem on our hands.
Come look outside and learn." he draws his cloak around him as he heads to the door.

From the door way, you can see a orange glow in the distance.

"Theres goes another farm, up in smoke, the raiders want gold and silver, if you can't pay then they take what they want.
Tyrfingrson knows that thay will bleed us all dry and enslave us if we let them so he as called for outsiders.
He's willing to pay generously to any one that frees the land of the scourge." he finishes his drink and lean in closer to you.

"Drustan, Leonidas You seem to be good men so i will warn you now,  King Tyrfingrson has called for foreigners because you dont count, no one will cry for you here, so keep safe." and with that he leaves.

Melinda eavesdrops around from her table, including the conversation of the other PCs, listening for opportunities.

Grunt, and grumble about how I'm too old for this, then state my agreeance to our questing plan.

"We are few, and I would think that these raiders are many, or the farmers themselves would have banded together and driven them out. Or, maybe they are just too afraid to do so, and if we rally them behind us, we'll have an easy task. Let's go and talk with the farmers that have survived raids, try to see how these bandits are attacking."

I then order a drink and wait for response.

Leonidas rejoins the others, as the party calls for a round of drinks.

Melinda eavesdrops around from her table, including the conversation of the other PCs, listening for opportunities.
There seems to be little talk that does not center on ether the raiders or the problems they have coursed.
-----
As the night grows on, you try to get a better idea of the numbers involved in the raids but there habit of acting mosty under the cover of darkness, has lead to wild inaccurate tales...

As the first rays of daylight awaken the party, it is decided that you will...

A) Talk with the farmers that have survived raids.
B) Talk with the captain of the guards.
C) Something else?

"Aye, let's split into two groups. How about myself, Leonidas, and Theron go and talk with the farmers, while Everett, Rodrik, and Melinda ask around in town?"

If no one objects, the three of us will head out to talk with survivors and look around in farms that were attacked.

As I have 0 charisma, I'm just gonna stand around looking scary while Everett and Melinda ask the questions.
