Would the following be an acceptable perk when I get one?

No Pain, No Gain: Jesse gains Spiral Power from getting injured; 1 point of SP for every point of damage taken. She gains less SP passively, however. (not sure how much less would be appropriate)

Or:

The Thick Of It: When fighting multiple opponents, Jesse's power amps up alongside the number of foes she's fighting. For every enemy after the first in melee combat, Jesse deals an extra point of damage with her attacks.

Or even:

I'm Your Target!: Jesse can, once per turn, take a hit meant for a friend. She cannot, however, protect the same person twice in a row.

All of those seem fine to me. First perk gives 25% less SP regen.
