Gurren Lagann actually has a piece of equipment called a Probability Matrix, which can add or subtract +/-10 to a roll per turn. You can do it with the right equipment, same with teleportation.

Like I Was Alive: Tömas can use the insane amount of Spiral Power at his disposal to temporarily boost his other stats. This takes a turn to prepare, and the turn after, he gets 2 star points per SP spent in the stat of his choice.

Its a free action. "turning it on" is pretty much reminding me that you have it 

Also Xanty, Gurren's Giga Drill takes 2 turns to charge, so if you do the explosion the turn after this one, you might destroy it too.
