I'm tempted to sign up for civil v plus gods and Kings, but all I really want is the dlc, so the bundle would better go to somebody else.

Yeah, if you've already got the base game it would be bad form to nab the bundle just for the DLC.  Keep your fingers crossed, and perhaps the Vidja Gaemz Fairy will help you out later in the month.

I have investigated, and you are correct on the labeling; they are indeed the same thing.  I'll merge them under "The Ship: Murder party + Singleplayer" because that is more descriptive of the contents.  webadict only has one copy on offer, so 3 in total.

No, the 2 Pack comes with 2 sets of each game. The original bundle came with one set of games and 2 2-Packs. Each 2-Pack can be given away to give one set of games along with an additional Gift Pack. So, she would actually have 4 sets of copies if she has 2 2-Packs.

As you can see, I have 2 Steam Gifts (they are both the same thing). Each one of them contains Murder Party and Single Player. It doesn't say anything about having multiple copies of each. I think the "2 pack" is supposed to mean that it has both the multiplayer and the singleplayer versions. The title is misleading, though, because at first I also thought it meant 2 copies of everything. Badly worded it is.

So for sure, what I have is two copies of The Ship: Complete Pack.
