Actually, that rule was deemed as unofficial by Konami.  Besides that, in-universe, the duel disk could check if its a valid target or not, so the card doesn't need to be shown.

Huh, you're right. Weird. I should check if that rule still applies in the modern game... Been treating it as applying. Changes the use of things like Mind Crush a bit. I suppose the in-universe explanation makes sense, though.

That's actually just a general application of the general removal of all UDE rulings after Konami took over; a lot of accurate rulings were actually reclassified as "unofficial" as a part of this.  Cards such as Sangan which add cards with specific requirements to the hand are explicitly stated in Konami rulings to be revealed, and by implication the reasoning used extends to other similar "add to hand" effects as well.  While they in themselves are not official rulings, this is also how it's played in the official Konami video games. 

That said, if that's how we're playing it in-game, then it's perfectly fine by me.  Makes things interesting, as kingofferrets notes.

Hey, what ever happened to Polymerization? Is that still a thing? And did I get lucky in drawing Goldd, or is it the wrong card? Still, won't be enough since she did draw that monster card to her hand. Damn. Might be able to figure something out though.

1) I don't understand what you are trying to ask by these questions.
2) Got lucky on a roll weighted by the plot, as your character's thoughts said that was one of the cards you needed.

I think he's planning on combining Ceruli with Goldd to get the destruction effect, but Goldd's effect is going to be negated by Arcana Knight, since it targets and there's a known monster in hand.

Was just curious about Polymerization. Haven't seen it used much, although I suppose I haven't seen many Decks based on Fusion Summons other than Gladiator Beasts so I was curious. As for my strategy:
Dark World Lightning on her Set card-> Discard Ceruli-> Ceruli effect on Goldd because Dark World Lightning is a Dark World card and it's secondary effect would target me as the opponent-> Goldd Summon and destruction effect on Arcana Knight Joker and Ceruli to clear the field-> Summon Trance Archfiend and attack directly with all 3-> Do 6500 damage-> Go from there.
