What the subject line says.

I've seen Titans and Forgotten Beasts; and I accidentally embarked on a Roc nest once; but I haven't had a megabeast visitor yet. And I've been genning worlds with shitloads of megabeasts, so I know they haven't just died out in worldgen.

Is this just bad luck, or is there potentially a bug here?

I did. I was visited by a dragon, and few forgotten beasts and a titan.

We distance limits imposed on their arrival, like with sieges?

Cool, but wouldn't this likely lead to tongues having a '[SPEACH]' tag, and thus via necromancy we would have nearly unkillable reanimated tongues following necromancers spamming 'it is sad but not unexpected'?

No rocs or dragons (alas), but I've gotten titans and forgotten beasts (as well as werecreatures and minotaurs)

Is this biome reanimating? I really don't want to know what happens when "absurd numbers of megabeasts" is combined with "reanimating biomes".

Bunch of minotaurs and one ettin, but no proper megabeast yet. Most of the time I've been playing below the population threshold for FPS reasons.

I've had a giantess and minotaur so far in 40.13.  The minotaur provided a bit of fun in year 609.

I've had one or two FBs show up, but they're down in the caverns which are sealed off.

I'm uh, not sure where to classify this one...

Marsh Titan, rather than Hill or whatnot... and radiates giving and kindness?

I decided it was trying to set an example, so in the spirit of giving I kindly radiated my magma cistern into it and that was that.

I have gotten a roc, bronze colossus, dragon, ettins, titans, and underground forgotten beasts.  I will say that they come in much fewer numbers than in previous versions.  I haven't seen any vampires, though, or goblin ambushes.

I've heard of a few titans in MW that radiate kindness. Its just part of the epic randomness of DF that caused a Minotaur to be my queen and my General's profession to be "Drunk".

Not MW incidentally, but yeah, that was a very weird alert box... and it didn't seem to be radiating much kindness at the echidna and rabbit it killed before I got it lured over to where the magma finally caught it.

Oh, and "Drunk" is the best profession ever. Setting it yourself is amusing... the game doing it? Got an ss?

In over a year of 34.11, I never once encountered a full megabeast.
I think it's just luck.

Oh, Drunk's been a vanilla profession for ages. It's just you only really see them in adventure mode usually.

It's the minotaur queen that confuses me. I assume you must have modded in a minotaur civ, right?

Assuming he's still talking about Masterwork, all the the civilized races are able to worship and be ruled by megabeasts and semi-megabeasts as humans and (I think) goblins already did in vanilla.

It's because now they have to actually go to you, with other, most likely closer fortresses in their path as well. I've gotten a lot of rocs in one world: I'm literally one square away from a nest full of rocs.
