Ao returns with a cup of coffee, nodding to Justin and Kara.

"So, Miss Kaube, what are you talking about?"

Kyle waves.
"Has anyone else noticed the concentration of women here?"

Ao twitches a little behind his mask.
"There is myself, you, Mister Fullbring, Mister Trevor, and Miss Charlotte, Miss Kaube, and another girl in the hangar. The concentration isn't as much."

Luzia waves in greeting to all the new pilots and then replies to Ao, "Not much, just the colour of the base." After Kyle comments, Luzia looks around at the gathered crowd, "Oh. Most of the base personnel seem to be men but... Most of the pilots are women I think?"

"It feels that way. Maybe it's because of the fact that since women aren't normally considered expendable they are willing to risk it more with them."

"Or maybe it is simply because they are better pilots."

Luzia nods, "I think so too. I used to be a nurse before they brought me here, and they certainly aren't expendable."

((Nope. Ao is definitely female. It's headcanon, and I haven't seen anything disproving it! And fem!Ao totally has breast envy against Luzia, because I think that's hilarious. ))

"Hm."

"Well, I don't know about that, but half the pilots in my unit were girls. Let me tell you, if they thaught you were being the slightest bit chauvinistic they'd have no problem expressing their opinions. Usually with a kick to the groin!" He smiles crookedy for a second, then asks seriously "So, how many of you here have actually fought these jackasses? My unit of Skyhawks was one of the first to strike back at the invaders. It...wasn't pretty; I still have nightmares about that mission."

Ao looks at him, completely straight-faced.
"I.......climbed into a tank and nearly killed one."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"I haven't fought before... So this will be my first time piloting in combat. But I used to be a nurse and... that was tough. Really tough. So this should be much easier, right?" she replies, her smile wavering slightly as she looks around for support.

Ao nods at her.
"You won't be in bad hands, if Mister Fullbring's experience serves him right."

[OREOSOME]

"I'm good at piloting my unit. I was the test pilot, and now I am the production model's pilot. Funny how that system works, no? And.. you almost killed one of those things? In a tank? Impressive. I have yet to pilot mine in true combat, only training exercises."
She looks at Ao, as if trying to gauge how good of a pilot they were, or if that was just luck.
