Your tour, and conversation with Sanders is over so you make your way towards the third building aiming to get a look at the practice model to see what you'll be working with in the near future. The building looks like an oversized garage that stands roughly thirty-five feet tall from your estimate, entering through a side door you find yourself in a small control room that is dimly lit with only a single console lit up so you walk over to it. Looking down you find the console displays a cut-down skeletal structure of the practice model itself, and next to it is a switch labeled 'Main Bay Lights' so you flip it only to be momentarily blinded as all the lights in garage come to life at once.

Through the control room's glass you can see the practice model, a slim war machine sacrificing almost all armor plating for sheer speed and maneuverability while upon its back is a blocky generator pack equipped with numerous maneuvering thrusters that are aimed in every direction to give the machine free range of movement. Its head is a narrow, sleek machine bearing a human like visage covered by hundreds of sensors to allow for redundancy should any of the major sensors get damaged in combat. On a rack besides the practice model is a heavier version of the standard Triarch 45mm Assault Rifle that has been modified for use underwater (this includes reloading which is the main reason its bulkier) though the weight difference doesn't matter much due to the nature of expected aquatic mech combat.

Flipping the switch to turn the garage lights off you turn, and head out the door deciding that the rest of your day would be better spent getting some rest in the recreational building the company had prepared for you. This building holds quite a few surprises, inside you find a small library tucked into the back corner complete with a fully stocked desk and computer, about half of the remaining space is taken up by a variety of workout machines to help maintain physical fitness, and the remainder of the room is taken up by a lounge of sorts with a tv, couch, and what appears to be a fully stocked fridge. They put a lot of consideration into this ...

Grab some snackage from the fridge and check out the books. Research the history of mechs.

Hit those books, look up how-to manuals for mechs, or instructional guides or so such.

Better watch TV on the cycling machine. Otherwise just waste the day.

+1 see if there's any news on any wars or military build ups against us. If nothing interesting then just put the equivalent of J-Pop music and work out to that. PUMP IT UP!

Better watch TV on the cycling machine. Otherwise just waste the day.

You grab the TV remote, and press the power button before climbing onto the cycling machine to get some exercise in. You change it over to news, and start catching up on anything you'd missed while you were on your way here, though all in all nothing seems to have changed while you were gone aside from yet another operation gone bad between Varis and Zelaban. The Oceanic Alliance is the same as usual, though news seems to be focusing on the rather common pirate attacks going on in the South Nalis Sea that has been hampering trade among the southern island nations of the Alliance the past few months. The Oceanic Alliance has dispatched a small splinter fleet to establish a defensive zone while preparing for a large suppression operation four months from now.

After a few hours of cycling you get down, wipe the sweat from your body, turn the TV off, and head out to catch some sleep for tomorrow since you figure whatever test they're going to have you run is gonna be quite draining. You enter your quarters, and lock the door behind you before collapsing onto your bed for the day.

---

You awaken to the sound of an alarm clock going off, rolling over you find one straight across from you on the nightstand, pressing the sleep button on the alarm you sit up and take a look around the room you had ignored last night. Its rather plain all things told, maybe ten feet by ten feet with nothing but a bed, the nightstand, and a fridge filling up the room. There are two doors in the room, one leading outside and one which you assume leads to the bathroom, sighing you push yourself out of bed and go into the bathroom to take a shower. When you come back out you find a fresh set of clothes on the bed, and a plate of food on top of the nightstand, one things for certain and that's the service here is quite good.

You quickly change, and eat before heading outside where you run into a smiling Mr. Sanders, clearing his throat he speaks,

"Good morning Hektor, its quite a fine day to start your training isn't it? Everyday until the <Gorgon> is finished will be much like this, we'll deliver you breakfast and a fresh set of clothes while you're cleaning up to start the day, you'll eat and change, and then you'll head straight to the garage housing the practice model where you'll get suited up and the crew will brief you on that days practice. But before we go the crew asked me to question you on your preferred combat loadout for practices, seems they want to start out fully prepped to give you a good view of them. The only options they gave me were close range, versatile, and long range so you don't have very many options, that will all change when you get a hold of the <Gorgon>."

Mr. Sanders smirks when he says the last of his words, and waits for you to reply.

Short range practice at first just to get a feel for the <Gorgon>'s maneuverability

It's just a practice model, while roughly based on the <Gorgon> its far from the actual thing.
