I think that it's ironic that you have to write the getting started section last

Also, could we make a small chance that abherents/praetorians also occur in the natural world.

Like you could be playing human fortress and all of a sudden, a lone praetorian appears with the wolf pack that makes it's way into the map, fights the wolves and if it still lives, attack any humans stuck outside

It would have to be a PRAETORIAN_MAD so it would kill wild animals as well as not taking up a LARGE_PREDATOR spot and even then, wouldn't it be more appropriate for caves? also it needs to be that so the makeown script doesn't randomly recruit them from outside when you did nothing to obtain them.

Well, in order to write a useful getting started section you must have played the race so you have useful advices to give

Adding praetorians and aberrants to caves is easy, but I can't deal with the makeown problem.

Also, I believe we should add archeology after all. It's an established feature for everyone else. If we do add them, you need to make some sprites for them, heydude

Finally, how long will the poll last?

sorry for the deadline guys. good work everyone that helped code, dfhack, suggest or support this mod. after archeology is added. the official Hivemind Wasp mod V1.0 for Masterwork 6.3 will be released

heh, glad to help. remember, however, the raws should be playable, but we still need to upload graphics before we can call the race 100% finished :)

i ran into a problem with fixnakedregular: it does not appear to have a way to discern the race. if i add it on the init then it will automatically activate for every race, not only for the wasps.

When I tested the last version, it was called craftsman. So it was weird enough to report it.

It depends on the profession name, not the race name. That's why it was named craftsman, because I hadn't put a proper profession name

My last fort was annihilated by a rampaging dwarven warband, axefighters.
It was my second year, in the middle of the spring, I had like 130k of wellness.

I would like to know what they were searching.

I don't know how practical it is to ask Meph to do a lot of work when it was already the middle of the night on a holiday, so I wouldn't hold your breath for a fully integrated release.  Especially because he probably wants to review things and make sure it's up to whatever his quality/polish standards are for an official release (things like the weapons that don't appear on the military screen concern me a little bit, for example -- i don't know if that's been fixed or not, just an example.)  I think you would probably benefit from some time getting feedback with an "official" v1.0 standalone release.

But, I bet he create a world for Battle of the N Armies for you guys, if you ask.
