You have thoughts of telling this woman to take hike to her side of the wilds but decide this is the best time to make friends. You summon your composure and she simply waits by for your answer.
"Desecrate life? No, like you, I study life, and when I make my pale shadow of it, it is in appreciation, not mockery. Is it a disrespect to put bones to use rather than let them rot in a garbage heap? To protect myself with skin, rather than steel and fire? To put flesh to use until it rots back into the earth just as it would left alone rather than test forever in a tomb? I am no more found of the cities than you, and for ones like us allies are rare and direly needed, and we cannot be picky. "
The Wild woman with folliage seemingly growing our her seems to be unamused with the answer. "I am not a human nor will i let you kill beings of this wildland. I hear there screams and i know well you are here to continue your practices, of which i could care less about, the animals, trees, and spirits who dwell here i care deeply about. I am Miratha.
I shall return on the morrow with a punishment for you. Fortunate for you i have decided you are worthy of a second chance at life."
She holds her hand out and the rabbit you were just looking for appears, out of thin air no less, from her pawn.
"His name is Jael, his sister you have eaten. If he is not alive tomorrow morning, your death is very certain."
She hands you the rabbit and you take it with your hands and look into it's eyes. There is still fear in it and but it seems much more assured. When you look up to question the women, she disappears. You look for foot prints but find nothing in the darkness but you still feel your being watched.
You return to your hovel wondering how your dreams will be tonight.
