[14]

Kyle finds a large rubber duck packaged within one of the smaller boxes, nested in foam peanuts. Squeezing it makes a squeaking noise, vaguely similar to the call of the creature it is based off of.

Kyle looks around before taking it. One must always be prepared to take the enemies of the faith for the good of everyone. Yes, ducks are demons.

"Does that include pancakes?"
"Yes, actually. Um... do you need help up?"

šNah, I should be able to get up fineš

Iton struggles to get up but eventually is able to stand with his crutch (the marines gave him a crutch right?)

Zanzetkuken decided to try another cast of identify on her sword, after drawing it, and (95) it told her the blade was enchanted to cause her swing to be slightly adjusted for better impact.  She returned it to its sheath after the information was gained.

╔════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
║ A large group of boxes started to rustle violently!║
╚════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

What appeared to be a pile of cardboard boxes started to shudder and move, slowly lifting up into the air and forming a distinctive, bipedal outline. The construct stood on two thick, angled Plantigrade legs attached to a body composed of various boxes artistically combined to make a boxy, yet shapely body; the creature as a whole vaguely resembled a popular conception of a mech, and it easily stood at around nine feet in height. Flanking it were two simpler creatures; large closed boxes stacked on two smaller boxes to act as stubby feet, with angry jack-o-lantern like faces carved into them, constantly leaking packaging materials. Finally, a roughly humanoid figure of boxes wielding a cardboard tube and shield also stood as part of the enemy ensemble, pointing its "weapon" menacingly at the party, waiting for a chance to strike.

"Brace yourselves for battle!" shouted the smith as he pulled out a small war hammer from his side, striking a combative stance.

[11] The cardboard golem took the initiative, charging at {3}* Kyle with the end of its tube pointed out.

*(Rolled 1d4 for targeting, 1 being Propman, 2 being Zanzetkuken, 3 being Kyle, and 4 being the Smith)

(13) Kyle sidesteps out of the way. He curses to himself. If he WAS a ninja he would be fast enough to get a strike on the golem's legs.

Zanzetkuken slid the M1 along the floor, off the side, then drew the steel sword again.  (11+2) She managed to do so at a speed that had her keep pace with the golems, allowing her to block the charge of one of the smaller ones that was heading for her.

((Er, from this point onward, red represents enemy rolls, for me at least.))

Propman pulled out his sword, the sound inaudible amongst the creaking and crashing noise of cardboard boxes pressing against one another, [2+2] but fumbles and trips on his boots, wasting precious time and leaving him open to an attack. [2] Luckily, the box beast that was charging before him was clumsier then even he, widely missing his general location as it futilely body-slammed into the ground, leaving it ripe for a counter if the pirate himself wasn't struggling to get back up.

The smith stood ready for a counter, waiting for his first adversary to come towards him. Like an anvil, he was intent on holding off whatever foes would go up against him while the adventurers worked as the hammer. {4} [8] the second box beast, having been repulsed by Zanzetkuken's blade, attempts to body slam him, [20] but only manages to leave itself in the perfect position for a counter, the seasoned artistan smashing his weapon against the creature with such force that it exploded in a wave of cardboard and foam.

[14] The humanoid golem saw Propman struggling on the ground too good of an opportunity to pass up, and stabbed him in the neck with its tube, surprisingly drawing blood as it pressed a large amount of skin from his side. [14-4(+2-2, effect canceled out by skilled opponent)] Propman winced in pain at the sudden strike, but managed to bash the tube out of the way using the flat of his blade before standing up into a defensive stance, also poking a small yet ultimately superficial hole into the golem's shield.

Two boxes on the large construct in the distance opened up to reveal pods of bottle rockets. {3} {4} it targeted Kyle and the Smith, and fired them. [6] the left pod started to emit smoke, but ultimately none of the rockets ever left their position, doing nothing but threatening to set their platform on fire as the box broke off of the machine and landed harmlessly onto the floor. [20] the right pod however, went off without a hitch, launching every rocket within it at the smith with horrifying accuracy, the lot of them being unavoidable as they exploded onto his arms and chest, setting him on fire.

[17-5] The smith instinctively dropped onto the floor and started to roll in order to put it out. Nonetheless, he wasn't going to be helping fight now.

((Dang, two 20s in a single post!))

((There's an achievement for that somewhere.))

Kyle charges the weapons platform golem. (5) However he gets distracted by a duck shaped box a quarter of the way there.

Zanzetkuken rolled out of the way of the way of the rockets (9+2(Agility I)=11) successfully, narrowly avoiding being wounded.  She charged the golem Propman was engaged with and (19-4(no skill)+2(Sword ability)=17) delivers a blow to the cardboard that takes out its entire backpiece of carboard.

The cardboard soldier winces and creaks as its back splits open and dozens of foam pellets stark leaking out. Nevertheless, it is is still alive, [19] and it uses it repositions its shield in order to cover up and support its failing body, now fighting two handed as it turned to face Zanzetkucken, though it was likely hamstrung to the point that it would be hard-pressed to counter another blow with any strength. [15] None of the rockets land near the grounded buccaneer's vicinity, but [4+2(back stab)] Propman fumbles his initiative once more, before grunting in anger and instead focusing his efforts on releasing the mist of the corsair on the smith in order to help put out the fire.

"By God sir, are you okay!?"

[20] The squat box creature targets Kyle in his distraction and tackles him onto the ground from behind, stunning and pinning him down as he collides helmet first into the carpeted floor (though luckily, getting body slammed by a box is a far cry from being set on fire).

[2] the cardboard warmachine lets forth a menacing mechanical roar that echoes throughout the whole area, but otherwise seemed content for the moment in having burned the metal worker.

[14-5] The golem attempts to parry the blow, but its cardboard tube is simply sliced through as Zanzetkucket eviscerates the being with her nordic steel blade, causing foam to spill from the resulting gaping wound as the golem fell down to its knees, clutching its destroyed chest to futilely stem the flow before falling flat onto the carpet, once more a motionless collection of cardboard.
