Yawnnnn...Im haveing trouble wrapping my head around the newer rules here, but that may just be my sleepyness, could someone explain them to me?

Or maybe point me to an active perplexicon game useing the original rules?

What do you need to know?

Each word has a DC score associated with it, which is hidden from you at first and must be deduced via testing.  (Example: Fevy, a first page word, has a DC of 2. Etus, a fourth page word, has a DC of 1.  If you said "Fevy Etus" you would have a spell DC of 3; add the word costs together.

One of your stats is potency.  When you cast a spell, you assign a number of potency points to it; you can't spend more than your total potency on spells in a single turn.  For each point assigned to a spell, roll a d6, and get a number:

1: -1
2: 0
3: 0
4: 1
5: 1
6: 2

Add the results of all the rolls together.  If you meet the total DC, it's cast successfully.  If you beat it, roll the pot score again and add the two numbers together: the total score is used; the more you go over the DC, the more extreme the effect.  If you don't beat it, the lowest cost (picked at random if there's a tie) word is dropped.  Repeat until the pot score meets or beats the adjusted DC score.  If all words are dropped, it fizzles entirely.

So if you said "Fevy Etus" with 4 pot assigned and rolled 2, 3, 6, 4, you'd get 3 pot score and successfully cast the spell!  A sphere of fire would appear in front of you and fizzle out.
