"Hey y'all, let me take the phone for a minute.
Go the phone, call family, make sure momma's alright, assure her I'll be fine. Call girlfriend and do the same.
[3]You walk over to the booth and type in the number of your home. It seems that there is no one home, or maybe no one picked up your call You try calling your girlfriend, but luckily, she answers.
"Hello? Who's there?""Hey baby, it's me."The second she hears your voice, her voice crackles. You assure her of your safety, and told her that you two will see each other in no time. She replied by reminding you that she will visit you regularly, and from what you picked up, you recall that your first visit can be appointed tomorrow, in the free time period. You tell her to come to visit you tomorrow, and to send a message to your mom. Unfortunately, one of the dumb mooks stood up, and demanded you "stopped talking to that dumb bitch and gave him the phone".
John nods at MC, and inspects the room more closely, looking for anything useful.
[1] You look around, hoping to find anything particularly interesting. You find out that you should better not mess with the beds, because those are rickety at best and will break if it would have to endure even a bit more weight than yours.
Read the heaviest book on the shelf.
The heaviest book on the shelf happened to be the King James Bible and you open it on a random page. The sentence you lay your eyes on first is
"And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them. And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him."
It doesn't exactly fill you with joy.
Hubert examines the bookshelf.
On the bookshelf you find two copies of King James Bible, one of which was picked up by the nerdy guy, some cheap romance, spy, mystery and other horrible novels. There is also a copy of Stephen King's "The Stand", "It", Frank Herbert's "Dune" and some book of poetry written in what looks like Cyrillic script.
