If we can get a design for a turret we can roll out along the walls and retract, I'll go with vanilla.

Spoiler: Final Poll Results (click to show/hide)

I'll throw up a new poll to determine whether we go with Chaos or Factions.

But first, do we use a vanilla server or a modded one? I suspect that vanilla will win by a landslide, but it's best to keep things democratic.

I'd be open to mods that don't require a download/install, like the ones Civcraft has.

In my quest to make a TNT cannon that could patrol the walls, I wound up making a Fully-Automatic Bomber that could reverse directions.

I don't know if I should rip it off, or burn it for witchcraft.

If the audio made it through, you could have heard me note that it is possible that it could be expandable in length, and a few ideas I have may make it expandable in height and width as well.

I don't think we should do modded to many people would leave

Also we should probably find a reasonably popular server otherwise it would be way to laggy and there would be no one for us to murder

Why would people leave with modded? It's like Vanilla, but better!

If you're worrying about installing, the FTB pack installs all the mods for you, configures them, then launches them, so we'll have NO troubles whatsoever there.
It expands how dorfy we can be.
And if you're complaining about it being complicated, I have one thing to say to you...
CIVCRAFT IS PROBABLY MORE F***ING COMPLICATED THAN MODDED >:C

I like mods I've already got loads but most mods are really laggy in multiplayer especially the big ones

If you really believe that, come test your hypothesis on McFry's heavily modded server. ;)

I don't have a preference between vanilla and modded, but I have a preference for factions servers.

I do not care one way or the other on whether it is factions or chaos, modded or unmodded (though the latter might cause me to drop out if my computer can't handle it).

a FTB mod pack with a very small amount of mods

I'm pretty sure that this is an oxymoron.

Also, yeah, the problem I have with modded is getting it to work on my computer. For example, almost all FTB modpacks refuse to even start, and the ones that do crash shortly afterwards. As long as it isn't too difficult to run, though, I'm fine with modded.

I think the problem comes from the fact that we can't make our own mod pack from either of the launchers because no one has the resources to make a server.
The lightest mod packs if can think of are the technic light pack and...
That's about it, really, are there any good lightly modded FTB packs?

There is FTB lite, but that's in alpha.
Then there's a quite old FTB lite that's not in alpha.
Then there's the direwolf packs, which are a bit less CPU intensive than the others.
