Mimu stares at the food, going slightly pale.

"U-um... i-its okay, i can get food after." She looks nervous with the food in her hands.

"You sure?"

Mimu nods vigorously, trying not to looks ungrateful or suspicious as she slowly handed the food back to her.

Amy takes the bar and shoves it in her pocket, a little suspicious, the kind where you think someone is sensitive about an allergy (specifically Amy thinks Mimu is allergic to nuts but does not want anyone else to know)

Mimu visibly relaxes as the food is put away. Amy may notice a small red tint developing in Mimu's eyes, but only if she were staring right into them.

Then Amy does not, although she makes a checkerboard out of light, with the darker squares and pieces having less red and green light in them to distinguish them

Mimu stares at the board in confusion, unsure what it meant. Was it a tool, a game... a weird looking book?

The headmaster answers a few more questions, then dismisses the students with a terrible joke, and the teachers herd them outside.

The students are now free to wander over the campus, although they must hand in a class schedule before 8pm.

"Huh, coulda sworn you'd be the type to play checkers"

Amy dismisses the board and grabs her laptop out of her bag to plan a class schedule while eating lunch

Mimu has no idea what the word 'Checkers' meant, and decided to go look for a place where a list of classes were so she could decide what to pick more easily.

John approaches Mimu.

There are a lot. Easily over three hundred classes, maybe four hundred. There are the good old fashioned generic school classes, alongside things like arcane blacksmithing, several different schools of summoning, about a hundred specialist courses, and even combat training.

Ryuka walks over to Mitsuru.
 "U-Uhm, are you dorming with anyone..?"

She nods.
Mitsuru looks over the subjects carefully.

"AHH!" Mimu bolts immediately, off to find the library to see if there was a list there as she got away from the soldier.

Mimu stares at it in shock, but quickly picks English and Art as she knew those words and guessed the former would be useful in learning how to fit in better. Looking at the rest, she decided on Swimming too, one of her favorite things to do before being swimming in the lake near her town.

With that, she was content and wrote them down before looking for a clock to check the time.
