Well, fingerprints on money can't really be used in court due to the circulatory nature of currency so actually giving a bit of money wouldn't be too suspicious but I agree on the fact that we should start slaughtering the chickens before we lay their eggs.

If we kill, say, the girl first then at worst Caroline will dismiss the thought thinking that if we were the one who killed the landlord we wouldn't go after some random chick first.

Caroline might not hear about the death of the girl, anyway. Depends on how much she pays attention to the news. The death of the landlord, unless it looks like an accident with no evidence to the contrary, will put Caroline on the suspects list anyway. Every other woman in the building he's been harassing, and their family and friends, will also be on that list, but still.

You go outside until you're out of sight of Caroline, waiting until the girl comes outside. It takes a while, but you're sure it will be worth the wait; once you finally do see her, you feel yourself flushing at how utterly gorgeous she is. This is gonna be good...
