My personal opinion is that if I already know whether or not I like the game, there's no point in continuing to play an alpha or beta if it's going to get wiped anyways. I played one alpha weekend and will not be playing again until launch.

How is the inventory system?
Often in F2P games they like to put severe restrictions on inventory space in an effort to coax money out of my pocket. As a certified pack rat this is unacceptable (Im looking at you Marvel  Heroes!).

Will I be able to maintain my need to store a bunch of junk I will never need?

They give you pretty good sized inventory and bank at the start. There are a ton of different plants and minerals and other goods you can harvest though, and if you just run around grabbing everything and never get rid of your old weapons/armor, then yeah you'll fill up pretty fast. Inventory expanders are very cheap in the store though.

In addition, most store things also sell on the in game AH for gold, so you dont necessarily need to buy those with rl cash.

Awww meng! There's only one guild, and it's Eastern, on Salphira?

I'm playing a Nuian on Kyrios. >_< Which is about as opposite as could be.

really wish there was more variation to the character models.  I understand it's an Asian MMO, but I like having more masculine/rugged looking options when creating a character :/

You just have to resign yourself to having a beautiful human avatar...  or a beautiful cat avatar.

My character's name is Jaedrun.

How you enjoying the queues on Kyrios? They're deadly, and of course I hate them, but in a way, kinda nice.... Instead of waking up and logging into Archeage, I woke up, got in the queue and went grocery shopping, got home and made myself a nice hearty breakfast just in time to sit in front of my computer and eat it while playing Archeage.

Eh, we picked Kyrios because it did have such a high population, plus we have plenty of time so it doesn't matter that much

I'll queue up now and send you a invite when i log in

What level are ya?

Lvl 26. Could be higher but my leveling has slowed down a lot because I've been distracted by tradeskills and commerce.

I have been receiving updates on this by email and must have thought it was some sort of browser game or something but I'm sad I didn't at least try the beta. There are a few livestreamers right now but they're doing trading/PVP.

How in depth is crafting? So far I've only seen someone do a trade run. Can you build your own home, etc? Not a ton of info on the main website sadly.

Crafting is extremely in-depth, and the crafting skills are interconnected (mining grants stone and ore, tailoring and armorsmithing need alchemy items, etc). You -can- generalize at first, but eventually you'll have to specialize in up to 7 professions, and you can only master two. Specializing I -think-, only affects the quality of what you craft or collect (from farms or animals) and there's a 100% chance to complete all crafting.

And yes, you can build houses and farms. Farms require mass produced lumber that carpenters make, and houses require resource packs (made by various crafting professions with stacks of 100 of the three main resources, fabric, lumber and metal) and you have to carry these to house on your back and they slow your movement speed down. If you get PKed while carrying these, you drop them too, so you either have to build in safe areas or ask people to help protect you.

With ArcheAge being released today and the influx of new people, I'll be starting a Nuian guild on Kyrios

If anybody needs help getting started or a guild invite send me a poke in game (in game name is Ruskin) or on here
