I'll be patching Archeage as soon as they let me(in 45 minutes). Who the hell stops people from pre-patching their MMO -_-? It's just going to create even more load than usual at launch and INSURE the servers crash.

If you right click the ArcheAge button on the left side of glyph you can do a force update

They posted the update just a few minutes ago

As much as I wanted to play this, I've got nothing but unhelpful automated responses with apologies for not responding. I wanted to give the game a second chance, as I had a friend who played and enjoyed it, but their support team seems to be pretty awful. No response to my tickets for months, then they give me the auto-apology shit. My friend offered to let me play on his computer and I enjoyed it a bit, although it was a bit laggy because laptops. Then it crashed. Now I'm completely done with this game.

I think I've crashed 3 times so far over the past 4 days and that's with dx11 enabled (known memory leak)

What kind of problems were you having?

I'm not entirely sure. It just seems to crash after some amount of time. To be honest, I didn't put much effort into finding the cause of these crashes after my first issue with Hackshield, which seems to have gone away now.
My crashes are short and sweet, where the program just outright vanishes. I don't get any prompt or have any webpage open, like I did with the hackshield crashes. I also crashed several times just trying to change the graphics settings and I've also had the game straight-up vanish while I was alt-tabbed during loading screens. My lowered graphics settings didn't stop the incessant crashing, but I wasn't aware of the memory leak thing.
I've also had the game disconnect during loading screens, which for some reason means you have to restart the game. It can't just boot me to server select?

My GPU is an AMD Radeon HD 7640G and my graphics drivers were fully updated last I checked.

Sadly that gpu is below the minimum system requirements

Just a few sites for ya to look at it

http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=3288&canMyGpuRunIt=ArcheAge

https://support.trionworlds.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1763/~/archeage-minimum-system-requirements

Now, I've seen people play games with stuff waaaay out of date and get away with it, you might want to just try the game again and see if it's as bad as before

I would make sure to lower all your settings and if you need help with anything just poke me on here or in game

Ya, people who don't understand hardware could get caught up in that

The 7640g is a APU GPU

And the Radeon 4000 series that ArcheAge is talking about are desktop GPUs

If ya want i could post a few stats showing how large the difference is on a desktop GPU vs a mobile / APU GPU

Why not, I have some time to spend waiting for the servers to come up.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-Radeon-HD-7640G.69836.0.html

Gpuboss didn't have the 7640g so i just used this instead

http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-860M-vs-GeForce-GTX-760

Check the stats out down below and yes I intentionally used the 860M over the 760M just to show the performance difference

Ah, so the 7640g is an integrated video card? I'm starting to understand the issue now. Only thing is I cant see any reference to how much video memory it has. I'm mainly comparing it with my video card GTX 285. I guess I'm a bit of a simpleton in the sense I've always known majority of laptop video cards are pretty poor in comparison to a desktop. To be honest...the only issue with the 285 is lack of directx 11 support.

On the other hand...I guess its quite power inefficient.

"Processing and Memory

In an attempt to save power and reduce heat generation, Radeon HD7640G chips have variable speeds. When they're under low load, their processing cores and 256 shaders run at 497 MHz. For more demanding applications, the HD7640G can increase its speed to 686 MHz. To save cost and space, the chip doesn't have its own memory and shares the system's RAM instead."

Pretty much the same as other laptop GPUs

Edit: Ya some of the older Nvidia cards ran hot and did suck up the power
