Well... unless you are playing Monster Farmer or Harvest Moon.

It's old-school hotbar skill rotation. I think it's fair to say that style isn't everybody's cup of tea. It comes down to personal preference.

The only problem I have with it, because I enjoy skill rotation, is the lack of action queue. If you're lagging or you mis-time it or get interrupted, the client has no compensation. I can't trigger a series of skills in quick succession and expect them to all fire off in sequence. However, that is apparently something Trion is aware of and is discussing with XLGames, so it's good to know they're trying to work something out.

I've got a Founder's account ready and waiting. Are you guys planning to start a guild?

The guild I'm a Commander in is called "Awaken" and we will most likely be playing East on Salphira on launch. (cats and asians)
The guild's website is http://awakengroup.shivtr.com/forums
Just apply on the site, and then message me here with the name you chose so I can approve you.
We have over 100 people that have the top tier founder packs, and detailed plans for the 4 day head start.
We have a teamspeak server.
Any Bay12ers are welcome!

Open beta starts Thursday 9/4, and gets wiped on 9/8.
Early access starts 9/12, and launch is 9/16!

I knew that url looked familiar. My old Carpe Diem clan from back in 2006 has a site hosted there. Gosh, I haven't seen that old layout in such a long time.

I may apply purely out of nostalgia. :P

The guild has been surprisingly active even though AA is down before the open beta. We started having meetings with other guilds so we will have allies and support when needed. I should be around all day, so feel free to apply anytime!

This is going to be an odd post, actually bought several of the 150$ alpha packs and now we don't intend to play anytime soon.  If someone would like to take advantage of the headstart (and can be trusted not to spend the store incomes) and enjoy the 3 months of sub status let me know and I could easily give a several week notice before needing the account back if we ever play again. (would allow the head start, securing plots and transfering them to your 'real' account)

Add me on steam if interested.  This is my steam username as well

Personally, I'll wait 'til the game comes out. And then I will see if my computer can run it.

If it can't, oh well. If it can...

@Tegga, you'd be better off holding them or selling them. All accounts should have an authenticator attached ASAP, as there are constant attempts to hack accounts (they are worth a lot after all) and while people have been hacked without having logged in for months at a time, not one account with the authenticator has been hacked.

@everyone, My guild is still welcoming people, and you're welcome to join us during open beta! We will be busy for the first 2-4 hours of it tomorrow doing speed runs, but after that, we will gladly show new players around so you can get a feel for the game!

This is why I wish I could close or temporarily close accounts for these games.

Temporary close like Hibernation. I need to reactivate it essentially before I can use it

Yeah, my account was "hacked" about a month ago. I bought the Archeum pack the day it was released and played to level 35 or so, then decided to quit before I suffered from MMO burnout. A few months later, one of my friends mentions that someone else was on my account, so I log in and find that my character is now level 43, and there's also an alt who's level 20. Very strange. I changed my passwords, and everything's been fine since, and I added an authenticator too for good measure.

Can't wait for the head start, the game really is a lot of fun.
