Alright. Birdy, you look ready, I'll have the IC thread up tomorrow. And for everybody else, let's not let minor inconsistencies get in the way of having a fun time.

I maintain my eldest party member status! Yes! :P Also, starly is allowed? I thought no flying or normal types were allowed? I have no problem with it mind you...

So we have 2 pacifists of differing levels (myself and Kira) and two slightly deranged characters. I assume Kyle and Jonathan are taking the bulk of the battles while Bjorn supports with taking heavy hits for the team while training for league matches and hatching/breeding pokemon.

And taking a quick peek, only breedable guys we have (because I haven't check genders, this can be changed) is Ralts and Gastly (makes little sense, but same egg group). I also think if anyone has a rival they would know before they set out would be myself if we go with saying the guy I injure is my rival. It would also be hilarious instead of conflicting types, it was rather pokemon that are similar or opposite of eachother that were the starters. For example, gastly trainer's rival uses a cleffa, Ralts trainer goes against another Ralts but goes gallade/gardevoir instead, etc. It'd be harder for some.

I do actually want to know if we know eachother prior, because it would be weird working with people who don't know each other. I'm going to assume Kira knows Bjorn as the others do; big brother figure that gives away free pokemon, helps people train and care for pokemon, so its not hard to come across my guy as a stranger. Judging from how your character is, I'm going to assume Bjorn doesn't know much about Kira and while he admires her will to help pokemon in trouble, he is a little off-stricken by the fact that she has chosen to leave on an adventure. He feels he may need to be a little more protective of her over the others due to her pacifism exceeding his own (and Bjorn will avoid a battle if he can, but will not back down or flee if hes thrust upon one).

As for Grond, Grond is, once again, very relaxed and calm in most situations. He has the odd quirk of being hungry often and digging around a lot looking for sources of Iron and other raw metals (Which Bjorn usually has pieces of metal on hand for him to eat, with iron of course, being his favorite). He has gotten into trouble before for gnawing on pipes, siding and even railroad tracks, getting himself and Bjorn in trouble. Despite not seeing many of them, Grond has a slight anger problem towards certain males of the  Monster egg group. Grond is believed to be very territorial in this aspect, but Grond won't attack unless provoked or given orders to attack. He has a big dislike of larvitar for some reason

A note on the honedge thing, in this game at least honedge actually have their own special rules to allow trainers to wield them, the special "Living Weapon" capability that only honedge and it's evolutions has. (Mechanically speaking it's probably not much stronger compared to just a trainer and a pokemon fighting side by side, although it does offer some bonuses and I guess you could make a weird like super defensive honedge which might be cool, although this game encourages glass cannons in a way so I sorta doubt that would actually be better) I guess that doesn't actually make sense in the lore of the game, so it would make sense if a GM would want to change it, but by default it's possible.

(I hope you guys don't mind if I still keep a bit of a eye on this game, because it might be interesting even if I don't want to play?)

The pokedex entry implies that as the Honedge can control it's sash it wouldn't be a problem with trainers it likes and trusts. Just my two cents.

And unless there's a problem with the shady guy having what's a semi living lie detector it shouldn't be a problem.

Also, random bit of trivia. There's a human-like egg group. Make of that what you will.

I will get back to you with a sheet as soon as I understand what I'm looking at.
Perhaps I should take a look at the others'. Hm.

Hunter good as a class to play, or would you prefer I didn't?

Kira probably would know Bjorn. Perhaps not as well as the others, but Bjorn is probably Kira's main, if only contact. Kira is a bit on the supporting edge right now, being the only one who knows the basics of culinary arts and the best at mobility. Ironically though, she is actually the physically strongest of the team, and has a pretty decent throwing power for a girl who doesn't like to catch Pokémon.

I think she would develop into a good trainer... IF she can get around the fact that Pokémon and Trainers can have healthy relationships that don't border on abuse and she makes lost time on the fact that she doesn't know the first thing about commanding a Pokémon in battle.

Ok then. Addressing what has been said:

Yes, you all know each other. Remember that you live in a starting town; think about the size of Pallet, New Bark, Little Root, Twinleaf, Nuvema, etc. (No, they're not 4-building small like in the games. :V)

I'm perfectly cool with Lyeos jumping in; 4 really is kind of small.

Breeding and whatnot: hoo boy. Favored pastime of perfectionists. I'll make sure that I don't automatically assume all the Pokémon you catch are male, no worries.

IC Thread will be up sometime soon.

What are the genders of Ralts and Gastly again? I didn't see. Grond is male for certain, due to it's territorial ideals. I may decide on having Grond being a little heavier from being a little more gluttonous then the others, but we'll see.

If I do end up catching breed able pokemon, expect a lot of breeding to give people pokemon as is Bjorn's nature to do so. If I hatch a shiny, I would have no idea what to do with it.

We have a breeding pair. Everyone gets a Ralts! XD

Putting this here because awareness.
Hm.
I think I get it now, minus a bit with the classes.
Under Hunter, there are two things that only require you to have taken the hunter class,
Pack Tactics and Take 'Em Down.
Do I just choose one, or get both, or what?  ???
I can't seem to alter the PDF, though.
I'll probably print one off and write everything in, then take a picture.
Wait, no, I can't.
Hm.

Aaaaah, y'all just start without me.
I'll waitlist when I get this sorted.

Each one of those is a feature. And the class itself is a feature. So first your spend a feature on the hunter class (assuming you have Novice Survival and Novice Stealth) which gives you the quarry marking ability. And then you spend a second feature on getting ether Pack Tactics or Take 'Em Down. (And then if you want to you can spend your third feature on the one you didn't take if you want, or whatever)

This is what I get for not reading carefully.  :P
I just found the page where it explains that.
