Oh wait we aren't doing the AI DOOR thing anymore.  Where did that like whole page of posts come from, I didn't see those.  I also didn't see that Analogue: A Hate Story reference.  That was a good game.  VN.  Whatever.

Anyway yeah, this sounds pretty hype, and I will totally wait excitedly for more news.  Release news especially.

I'm wondering what the price range will be. Usually a touchy subject, but I like to know how much to save up.

There's this round-based online game set on a space station where one player can be an AI constrained by Asimov's laws to serve humans. AI is often a doorknob.

And people say its rogue on a basis of 'Did it listen to me y/n' :P

Anyways, will there be a playable demo in the future, and if so, will it be what you have at the time, or will it be a relatively polished 'Week of game time' type of thing?

It makes as much sense as expecting the AI to pay attention to all the doors.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Things I'm still curious about for Human Orbit:

What level of direct control will you have on the station? Could I open a hallway airlock for example, ejecting one of my least favorite crewmembers? Can I actively and directly execute them? Would this lead suspicion back to me or just the automatic door opening system?

As someone as mentioned earlier in this thread, will we have some sort of objectives? How can player interest be maintained? Will there be an evolving story over time with each playthrough that keeps a player engaged?

This sounds awesome. Space Station 13, very yes.

Joe answered one of my questions on Twitter. In regards to:

will AI have direct environmental controls? Can I eject someone out of an airlock? How subtle/overt can your influence be?

I'll comment on airlocks on the forums later. Certainly, actions can be very overt - poisoning the food supply chain is an option

I wonder now, if you're too hostile to the humans, can the humans attempt to shut you down or reprogram you (which would amount to much the same thing) out of self-preservation?  Or, given one of the AI examples earlier in the thread, if they have a personality that causes them to want power for themselves?
