The gnome finishes looking for traps with his Search skill.

((Tawa is mostly only interested in the combat, so we can assume that Ryurist is. PrivateNomad's character can't talk, but nodded. I'm just unsure about Freda))

[Nerjin]

Ryat doesn't find any traps. He does, however, notice a small orange glow under the door.

[Tawa]

"Yes, I am ready. I apologize for not speaking much-- I am a dwarf of few words. Action speaks louder."

[Nerjin]

"Well that settles it then! I will take the lead and-" and here Oscar opened the door only to see two glowing symbols within a small hallway lit with overly bright torches"Well... That is strange. Summoning Signals..."

Those who can see them notice that they are a light white color. Both contain small passages. The first, and closest to you reads: A Purposeless Knight from a far off land.

The second, and furthest, states: A enigmatic duelist with a noble name.

"I wonder who left these... I do not recognize the script."

Elazor simply follows behind.

Without knowing exactly what the circles are for, the gnome goes forward and UMDs the closest one to identify it.

[Nerjin]

So far as you can tell they are exactly what Oscar said they were: Summoning Signals. From what you can gather touching it will make something appear. Past that you're not sure. Though you do identify one of the small words: "Cooperate".

[Silthuri]

"We could always use more help. How do we summon them?" Freda asks, crouching over the sign for the knight.

"However it works, I think it should follow some basic rules that most magic things use. I could try using it."
Use Magic Device on the circles to summon someone from them.

[Nerjin]

The moment the signs are touched the entire group feels a small tug upon their soul as two humanoid forms begin fading into existence. The first is a man wielding only a single rapier. He is obviously a duelist of some sort. The second appears to be a knight with an onion shaped helmet. The two seem incorporeal however and are surrounded by an orange glow.

As they finish appearing their signs disappear. Without a single word being spoken all know that these two are not quite real and yet they are just as real as any of you.

[Silthuri]

"Uh... hello?." Freda says to the phantoms. "I assume you're willing to assist us in battling a creature, yes?"

[Tawa]

Ryurist looks around, in a manner that is somehow both calm and nervous, seeking potential threats.

"Something... something is wrong."

[Silthuri]

"What do you mean?"

"I wonder what circles like these are doing in a place like this?"
Rayt scratches his foliage for a moment before speaking again.
"Seem real enough. Let's bring them with us!"
