Can each of you tell me where your character is from? This is going to be important with the new location; for example, the original gang, being from England, are all going to have (at least initially) noticeable English accents.

Appearance: Slightly Hispanic features, medium build, average height

Bio: Born and raised to migrant workers in Reno, Nevada, Ruiz was thought to have a bright future ahead of him: good grades, a higher than usual intelligence, and competitive desire. That was until he fell into the typical vices of drugs and alcohol. No longer interested in the scholarly pursuits, Ruiz flunked out of grad school and turn to, what else in Reno? The casinos. For a while, things were good. And the money was good, too. But the house always wins. Unable to foresee all the bunko variables in one sleazy casino, Ruiz found himself in a startling amount of debt. After a drunken bender to escape his justified paranoia, Ruiz woke up on a bus to New Mexico with little on his back. A new beginning, it seems.

Nope, because you stated that he was from America in the last game. Likewise, Thomas Freedom carries his Caribbean accent.

It occurred to me in the last game that having a random mook for a lawyer was probably a negative thing. And that I can make a great deal of money as a lawyer while staying close to the police and best of all.

The cops can't touch me for keeping all of you out of jail because it's my job and is 100% legal.

And I can make sure charges against people we dislike stick so they go away for a very long time, or I can allow them to hire me for a very large sum of money to get them out.

Oh, that's what you meant by job. I have to revise my statement: You won't start out as a lawyer, but you can certainly set yourself up as one, especially with past experience. However, you'll have to do it from the ground up, as you quit/were fired/laid off from your last firm.

You'll probably be a real lifesaver if any of us get thrown on trial again.
I guess this pretty much makes you the Caonsiglierie of the Syndicate now that I think about it
