Was waiting for matchmaking to find me a match in Heroes of the Storm, and stumbled upon this in general chat.

snrk.
How did that happen?  Isn't there, like, some no-duplicates thing in Battle.net?  Or is there seriously nothing preventing copycat accounts?

"Poor people are left to rot, but criminals get shelter, food and clothing."
"How about we just start giving poor/homeless people the option of living in prison?"
"You couldn't have them in the same building though. Perhaps make special camps for the homeless and poor people. You'd then get any able bodied person to do work around camp."
"The problem is that these poor people clearly don't have the concentration to carry out the required work..."
"Surely they would. Perhaps when they've worked enough, they'd be allowed to leave to say better housing elsewhere. A sign at the front saying "Work will set you up" would be very motivational."

I mean, it's a legitimately interesting proposition. Just remove most of the security and provide slightly less meaningless jobs, it could be a better option than abject homelessness.

On the other hand, y'know, concentration camps don't exactly have a good precedent.

Also, I have encounter TANK PANTS in a game. TANK PANTS with laaazor hands.

It's not exactly a new concept. I mean, that's why governments would use massive public works programs during economic downturns, and combined with state housing it amounts to the same great thing, 100% less Nazi flavor.
