Baffler likes silver, walnut trees, the color green, tanzanite, and dogs for their loyalty. When possible he prefers to consume beef, iced tea, and cornbread. He absolutely detests ticks.

So today before closing I answered a phonecall from what I assumed was a customer.
I hear a man's voice, he gives me some weird business name and wants to confirm an "appointment" we presumably had made. I was confused, so I asked him to clarify. This is our business phone number of course, for customers to contact us. He says its an appointment with two of his full-bodied women. My supervisor who's overhearing my end wants to know whats going on so I say "this guys trying to sell me hookers." On the other end of the phone I hear "now I know you're nervous and that's to be expected but..." I just burst out laughing and had to hang up on him. It had to be a prank.

It sounds like he's describing wine

E: Also, 29th February is a capitalist conspiracy.

These are the same people who said calling Jihadi brides Jihadi brides was misogynist because they beheaded infidels for all the same reason their husbands did

Props go to Telegraph for trying to beat the Guardian with sexist air conditioning, but the Guardian takes the cake for SWPL problems

Is the 29th of February a thing?  I've definitely heard of holidays that are capitalist conspiracies.  Lord knows the only reason US holidays aren't capitalist conspiracies is because "conspiracy" implies its a secret.  But I've never heard of the 29th of February described as any kind of special occasion.

I thought I was reading the opinions section for a second. But no, it's in the science section.

Some knightly humours for you gentle sirs.

I can't count the number of times the third one has actually happened in Mount&Blade, though.

Nothing bad. I'm involved with a robotics program that intends to do some stuff of sufficient neat-ness for the paper to get interested.

It's just that this is like the third time I've been in a front-page article, all for different reasons.

Damn. Best I ever got was a no-name-given article somewhere in the local news section for breaking my arm in the trench around the local fortress/high school.
