Lizard Story

I don't know if that's disgusting or cute. Probably both.

I would lean more towards disgusting; having a wild animal chilling out inside your bleeding stab wound seems like a great way to get ALL the infections.

Having an actual marsupial-type pouch to keep your lizardbro in would be pretty awesome, though.

Read the back of the packaging for some thermal compound just because, and read this gen:
Quote
  • High thermal conductivity
  • Low thermal resistance (even though they obviously meant resistivity)
As though they had to make sure everyone knew that it was both things, rather than them being able to infer one from the other.

Pretty sure there's no real difference between resistance and resistivity in that context. Unless that was actually on the box and not your own note, in which case I profess my undying love for whomever wrote that.

No, that was my own note sorry. And the difference is that resistivity actually makes sense.

... how does low thermal resistance not make sense? It's... pretty obvious what it means? Probably even more so to a layman...

They both work. Who said the proper term was resistivity?

I had no idea resistivity was even a word... It just sounds so ridiculous.

Me. I did. While you can apparently use resistance to imply specific thermal resistance, it's more ambiguous and so should be avoided.

To be fair, both resistance and resistivity are ambiguous words on their own. If you're talking about thermal resistance/resistivity, you should probably say thermal resistance/resistivity. Both thermal resistance and thermal resistivity are unambiguous phrases. The only people who'll be confused by it are those unfamiliar with the word resistivity.

...

And those who haven't studied physics, I guess, but why would you talk to people like that?
