Relic doesn't need another light mace, but she puts in her pack just in case.

Looking down the hatch...

"It's dark down there!" She comments helpfully. Relic takes one of the Sunrods from her belt, removes the leather cap, then strikes it against the floor-the resulting nub then glows brightly.

She tosses it down underhand.

Action: Light a sunrod and toss it down into the hole.

[Tawa]

Tossing down the sunrod, it briefly illuminates what appears to be a room before its light abruptly becomes quite distorted; the room appears to have a thin layer of water on the floor.

[Dwarmin]

"Looks like we're going to get our socks wet." Relic says usefully.

"I'm not sure about this ladder-someone should anchor a rope up here...it should hold up under my weight, anyway."

Action: Descend down the ladder and retrieve my sunrod. Affix it to my belt and draw my bow once I'm stable.

[Nerjin]

"Wait a few minutes. If anything's down there it's going to come investigate. If nothing happens then go down."

[Dwarmin]

"I suppose." Relic said, turning around three times before finding a seat.

Action: Wait five minutes!

[Flying Dice]

"Aye, I'll get a rope set."

Look around for a good place to secure a rope. If there is one, do so with Beolas' coil.

[Nerjin]

"You could tie it to the door. It's heavy enough."

[Flying Dice]

"But are the hinges and frame, eh? We'll find out soon enough, I reckon."

[Rolepgeek]

Ness watches somewhat idly.

"We could probably have Beolas hold it. He's strong. And then we can come back later and find a place to tie once he comes down."

[Nerjin]

Sacha shook her head before wagging her finger at Ness "I remember what happened back at the cave. No offense, but I'd rather it be tied to something sturdy first and THEN we can have Beolas hold it just in case."

[Flying Dice]

"Hoh, well-reasoned. Though it doesn't look big enough down there for spiders like we saw before," Beolas shrugs.

[Nerjin]

"There could be anything down there. Goblins on the ceiling or invisible creatures waiting to attack. All I know is that we need a relatively safe way to retreat if need be."

[Dwarmin]

((OOC: Hey! I just recalled my character was a claustrophobic. Totally forgot that...that sure makes my last action really out of character...

Also, the door should be fine to tie a rope to-they were described as 'sturdy-looking, metal-reinforced doors'. If that falls down under Beolas's weight the whole shack might as well fall down anyway.))

Sacha's words seemed to have ignited Relic's old fears. She had been unconsciously suppressing it up till that moment...creaking darkness...walls closing in...roof coming down...she retreated, scooting away to an adjacent wall.

"What about Invisible Goblins? Oh, no...

I just hope the ceiling doesn't collapse. I don't like the thought of being...trapped...down there...forever..."

[Nerjin]

"What? Oh please it's an adventure isn't it? Surely you don't want the tales to spread around that you were afraid of a small cellar. Come on, we'll be right behind you."

[Dwarmin]

"..I'm not afraid...I'm just...very concerned!" she says unconvincingly.
