On a serious note... I guess that this is the first time that we see Auratus almost defensive, as in, not boisterious, enraged, or riding on the coat-tails of his infamous temper. Huh.

This seems like quite a thread. Would it be possible for players to not be Belian gods? Like, make someone who would have far less power, or someone who actively opposes the Belians?

Oh, you would be quite welcome, actually. With 5 people keeping weird busy, and not as much to talk about between themselves, another semi-player could give an interesting spin to the story. Or game. Or both!

Nah. Not with too much freedom anyway. You might accidentally step on one of my planned plot threats or world elements with the sort of NPC, or the background, that you choose to make.

Tell ya what, if you don't like any of the NPCs so far, you can tell me what kind of character you would like to play, and I'll come up with something for you.

Blargh. That means you wont be RPing with them much though. Most of the PCs are not to sort to sit down and chat with their enemy...

That said, if you insist on going that route, that more or less narrows you down to being an Orc, Harpy, or one of Wild Red's pirates. Perhaps a member of one of the Nexus families, although it seems likely that the political feuds will be put aside for a spell... Just give me a general species/faction alignment, and the job or role you play among your people, and I'll come up with a character for you. Feel free to suggest anything else as well.

Also: I'm waiting on Ketari's action before I roll the combat, as GD implied that she would be sending Barkers to mess with said combat.

I find this highly amusing, because investigating that rumor was something that I intended to do, but that sounded trivial and therefore very, very low-priority.

Blargh. I don't know how I'll work 'hang back unless it looks like the good guys are losing' mechanically. I'll flavor you as doing that though, assuming you pass your roll to get in on it. That said, does Ketari want in or out mechanically? In means she can actually give her roll to help, out means she wont suffer any fallout should the Bellians lose.

Maybe roll the combat strengths, and if the Bellian forces are lower, roll for Ketari as well?
