...w-
where do they get the water

Strip it from the atmosphere, ship it in from other worlds and reclaim it from biological materials mostly.

so, for the curious, assuming it's 1 quintillion people around the imperium and they all are required to give 1/10th of population as guardsmen , that'd be equivalent of 0.000002 times earth mass just in meat.

idk if that would amount to anything. water is about 0.02 mass of earth tho, so the guardsmen would totally drown
It's more like 1% of population each tithe, and the scale is probably more like 20 quadrillion people.

Keep in mind that that's still 200 trillion guardsmen, every tithe cycle

0/10 not enough righteous fury, too much Eldar style weeping.

It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

From the tears of the Emperor, crying in joy every time the Astra Militarum gains a victory.

crying in joy every time the Astra Militarum gains a victory.
every time the Astra Militarum
Astra Militarum
Astra Militarum
TRIGGERED.

The Imperial Guard is the hammer of the Emperor, brother.

EDIT: In all seriousness, I am not a fan of recent fluff changes.

EDIT2: The Emperor protects.

Yeah, I've found myself saying it instead of 'IG' too, recently. The change is pervasive.

I still call it the Imperial Guard, I just wanted to use the fancy, self-congratulating tone of the Regimental Standard. :P

Frankly, I tend to consider Astra Militarum to be to the Imperial Guard what Adeptus Astartes is to the Spehss Mahreens.

Imperium is still the best, whine more heretics, your daemonically powered, spiked, soul-sucking, gorillion times folded wraithbone tactical markerlight dakka-choppas are no match for my faith.
