Step 1) Find cloning vats.
Step 2) Clone Emprah x 100
Step 3) ?????
Step 4) Profit!

Step 4) Profit!

Even in universe that wouldn't result in 100 ultra powerful beings.

Cloning would be better for
a) Cloning replacements to subsume the person's identity and thusly take their power (something never established as "not working" I might add)
and
b) Grunts

The warp can do silly things with viruses. Iirc, in Dark Mechanicum, when things went pear-shaped there were choas infused Life Eater Viruses that could freely switch between digital and physical - so when kept out of a bunker they just went in by the systems.

Makes me wonder if there was ever a virus that was also a ghost! A ghost disease!

I can't for the life of me remember if ghosts even exist... I think "no"...

Nah, Neon, the point was so the Emprah could have 100 backup bodies.

Wait, which movies are you talking about?

The one that came from a time period where a guy couldn't hit a girl.

Would you mind giving a title and/or link to what movies you're referring to? I'm not entirely sure I'm thinking of the same thing here.

I'd still like to know the titles for these movies if you know them, neo. Or anyone else that knows what these were referring to. Anyone have an idea? Because the three posted ones don't really feature stormtroopers far as I know (though can't know that for inquisitor yet).

The first three

Wait, now I see. You were referring to stormtroopers from star wars, and the three star wars movies. I thought it was 40K stormtroopers, and 3 40K movies I hadn't seen. That explains it.

Ninja'd, but yeah, it really wasn't very clear.

Does 40k specifically have units called "Stormtroopers"?

Yes, they do! Kick-ass shock troopers from the Guard:

So far Warhammer lacks both cloning and "cell culture" technology.
To admit for Warhammer where everything has a physical and spiritual existence... the limitations of cloning do make more sense.
What was their excuse as to why cloning is nearly impossible?

Meanwhile fingers in ears going 'La La La Fabius Bile can do anything!'
Plus, weren't the original primarchs clones? (Although look how that turned out).

Does 40k specifically have units called "Stormtroopers"?

Except in 7th ed they decided to do their 'Rebranding' thing and now are calling them 'Militarum Tempestus'.
... Which earns a nice big facepalm from anyone who knows latin.

But it begs the question - what were you thinking of when you wrote:
Not only are there female storm troopers but from what I've been told the next movie will finally feature them.

The Starwars Stormtroopers

I honestly thought that was what people were referring to when they said Stormtroopers.
