Well, you might think it's rather unique arcane magic. He's intelligent enough to develop his own, after all, and what psionic would become a psionic hunter?

A better question might be why would a wizard of such immense power as to be able to create his own unique form of magic that is unrecognizable as magic be going though a scrub tournament to become a hunter?

Well, it'd be a good way to win renown as Mighty Magical Mutt Madoka if he was so inclined. And money, of course.

Of course, skilled doesn't mean powerful. He might want to practise his unique magic on actaul beings, either for fun or to refine it. Gotta test your spells on something, after all.

Eh. Maybe. A slight of hand using wizard or a magic wand using rogue would be my guess at this point, if my character actually had any magic knowledge. Followed by secret psion. Followed by about a million things. Followed by wizard who made his own spells.

To be clear GiglameshDespair, you are asking me why something is objectively evil in a universe where meaningless objective evil does exist (IE: Evil Extraplanar creatures)? And I am a character who can actually sense objective evil.

That seems more like a question for the GM then for me. Actually, that is a question I probably should have asked My Name is Immaterial before. Is psionics objective evil in this game? Does it radiate evil aura? If not, why do people think it is evil? Also I don't think these questions would change my answer, but they are worth knowing none the less

((Edit: Whoops. Double post.))

Actually yeah, I forgot about that sort of stuff. Hmm.

Psionics is not objectively evil in the world of Dartnorth. The prejudice stems primarily from two things: one, that they have are considerably more likely to be evil for whatever reason, and two, there have been some major atrocities commited by massively powerful psionic beings in the distant past. Since information on this subject is extremely relevant to the plot of Filth of Kalgena, I will be holding my cards close to my body.
