Martyn leans on his lance, staring at the spearhead currently pointed at him and at the figure holding it.  Itolan military, high up.  A vulture to chase out the crows.

"The town of Sarles."

He coolly pushes the spear aside, then turns aside, pulling up the hood of his cloak.

"With the mercenary group Godhand, under Captain Geoffrey.  Now, if you'll excuse me..."

He moves away quickly, going to meet with the hiding villagers and putting Ernst behind him as quickly as possible.  He may have helped kill the bandit, but that did not mean he wouldn't string the peasant spearman up if he stayed around long enough.

Moving to Gorog, Ekul presents the soldier's drum.

  "Hey Gorog! I suppose you can make use of instruments such as this."

And passes it to the dancer without waiting for an answer.

"Alright! Now we're going to have a feast or something waiting for us, right? I mean, come on, we just saved the town!"

Hilde nodded at Geoffrey.

"Aye, sir."

She moved over to Lian to alleviate her pain.

"Stae still fer noo. Ye'll be ahlright."

: "Ngh, it's nothing." Lian clutched the side of her chest as she stood, a clear cut visible, "Hah, bandits owe me for ruining my only good shirt."

With nothing better to do, the future procurer of legitimately owned artifacts bounded over to Lian and Hilde. With a grin, Ekul decided to interject. His chosen stance was in preparation to bolt in case he had to.

  "Actually Lian, in hindsight I think that cut on the shirt was tastefully done. Maybe if it widened a bit, the results might be more spectacular..."

Ekul's thought to stay on-edge was well founded. Within the blink of an eye, Lian's sword was unsheathed and pointed at the thief.
: "Care to elaborate on that?" Lian challenged. But as her arm extended out, the wound stretched, and the sword fighter recoiled in pain, "Agh..."

"Excuse me." She said to the nearest person, one of those she'd fought with, to get their attention.

"Good answer lad."

Martyn hears Ernst say as he hurries away into the house. Once inside he's met by a teenage male.

"You're with the mercenaries right?" he asks as hefts an Iron Blade. "If you are I'd like to give you this. I can't fight all that well so I hid in here."

Meanwhile...

"Save it for later Ekul. I don't need the military hassling me because you decided to start something and got something cut off."

As Sarrani spoke up he turned his attention to her.

"Yes, what is it that you want?"

"Just glad to help. Doing our job and such. Thank you."

Aneira took the item and then paused, remembering her promise to give the bandit who'd joined them the trinket she'd found earlier. Heading over to him, she smiled at him.

"Hey, good fighting there! Sure am glad you helped us out. Here, I promised you this if you helped us, so it's all yours."

Hilde shot a glance at Ekul before trying to heal Lian.

"Ey, dinnae strain it, noo. Jus' lie down."

As soon as he saw the sword coming, Ekul staggered back, his hands held high, barely keeping his footing only because he had already planned his 'retreat route'.

  "You wound my feelings with a response like that. And here I was about to compliment you on your excellent physique and how you took down so many deserters in a flash."

Aika was slowly losing consciousness on the ground. In the back of her foggy mind, she wondered if perhaps she had already died and just didn't know it yet.
