You recall the local lore of the white stag. Legend has it that a white stag twice the size of any deer ever known lives in this area. Its said that to catch him would bring unending luck to however does it, but killing the animal will bring despair to someone's life.

Begin composing a letter to the empire, asking for a small smattering of unpopulated land to develop, or for information regarding lands that have not been claimed by the empire itself, offer in return a payment of goods produced and the potential of a new town to send those currently in overpopulated areas.  Request in the letter a group of any willing to migrate to this new settlement and a supply of lumber and stone to develop housing. while waiting the lengthy time necessary for a response, ask about for anyone willing to join you on this expedition to settle the frozen lands and begin taming the frigid lands and transform them into a bustling center of economy. Inform father of this plan before any of this however. and ask his advice on the matter.

No one wants to leave with you, and you go to ask your father about advice. He doesn't question your choices, remands you that it can be dangerous, but sadly doesn't have any advice, but does remand you about the rumors of the White Stag.

You head south into the snow. After a long time walking you reach the treeline. Its hard to nafigate, and you can't imagine building or farming would be easy, but the trees keep the snow away, so theres only light dusting on the ground. Eventually you do find a river thats unfrozen, and even has some fish in it.

Hm. Search for anyone that might be willing to leave (even another player, ahem) that might have some experience in building houses, hunting animals, or cutting down trees.

Take stock of your current currency, compose letter, have it sent off as soon as possible,  search your house for a map and compass, then go a short ways into the icy expanse, to scout out a good area. if your request to the crown fails, you can always carve out a place the old fashioned way. conveniently stumble upon another player rube Traveling companion.

Try and reach a point where the river meets the treeline.

Er, not trying to be rude, and it's understandable if you're losing interest in this game for the exact same reason, but so far we don't have anything to go on. We don't have any idea of what places might be good to begin in, we haven't got anyone to assist us, which makes trying to make a settlement next to impossible, we haven't got any supplies...

At the very least, making it where we work together would make it easier and more interesting. That said, having NPCs would as well - so far, the perk Humaan has seems useless. Picking an area with a certain kind of resource, or a general idea of what's there, would make the game much more entertaining - it would be awesome to know "Hey! This place is thought to have X metal/ore" or something along the lines of "thick forest, river nearby, game, etc."
