Make a noose...
Excellent idea! Rivae sets to work building himself a noose, and ends up doing a damn fine job! Assuming he could find something to attach the rope to, this thing would serve its purpose well - that is, of course, if Jonathan hadn't just snatched it out of his hands! Well, seems that
making a spot for a player that's actually going to post a hanging would have to wait for another day...
Wait.
That's right.
There's a river.
Standing by the water's edge, Rivae now faces his end, contemplating both death and life, thinking of futility of resisting his place as a pawn in this game known as life over which he apparently has no control anymore.
Soon, perhaps, he will jump in, and search for what waits on the other side.
Search outside for anything long enough to drop down the grate.
What a splendid decision indeed! Making his way out of the room, Jonathan fails to notice anything off about the starting area, and in his haste plows right into Rivae just outside the entrance. Out of breath, and with little time to explain, Jonathan snatches the looped rope that Rivae so kindly made and runs back inside.
Try some food to see if it's poisonous. Just a little bit. If I feel odd, spit it out and try to vomit.
Libitina takes a tiny nibble of the turkey, finding it to be as delicious as one could expect. Despite intending to only ingest a morsel, she quickly finds herself stuffing her face with the various dishes arrayed on the table - and unable to stop. From the corner of her left eye, she notices a small shape rising from behind a box, yet is unable to direct her gaze directly at it.
See if I can help Jason up.
Not wanting to take any chances, namely the chance that someone OTHER than the designated meatshield should be first in combat, Jin does his best to help Jason up - and succeeds, before retreating into the hallway, where he encounters Flabort.
Stand up and back into the lit hallway while facing the squelching noise, swinging my club back and forth in front of me.
Following Jin's help and subsequent retreat, Jason backs towards the hallway, swinging his club in front of him as he goes. On an accidental downwards swing, his club connects with something and releases a small shockwave, and the squelching ceases. Lifting his club, he finds a now-deceased, tiny pink slime on the end - it looks, oddly enough, as though it would have been harmless.
Scoop up some potato mush for cooking later and follow whoever is in the whatever deeper into the whatever
Flabort scoops up some of the undeniable awful potato mush with his hands, and heads inside. Taking a door on the right, he heads down the hall, only to bump into Jin running out of the righthand hallway. Unsure of what would send someone rushing out of that room, but not particularly wishing to find out, he heads to the left - just in time to see a sleepy looking dwarf standing up and glaring at Libitina.
Gunthar has idea!
Bring out my shiny hankerchief bright cloth and put it over the grate.
Of course! Surely the handkerchief would help, right? Removing his cloth from his pocket, Heinrich carefully arranges it over the grate, and waits for a moment... Except.... Where did the grate go? In his haste, Heinrich appears to have forgotten that the handkerchief makes things more difficult to look at! Fortunately, after a few moments of fumbling around, his hand collides with it, and he quickly puts it away just as Jonathan runs back in.
((I am in such a good mood right now, you don't even know.))
