You know what, let's go with weird mechanical thing. I personally find it more amusing that way.

Homeboy went and made some gnome shit.

Well, with that alchemist shop we can make a lot of bloodsteel, or at the very least ironbone. Full ironbone armorsets for everysoldier doesn't sound so bad.

The bowdwarves need ammo unfortunately. Julius now has a somewhat renewable source of material to make stuff we can buy things with, but the bones we have are going into training ammo. The bowdwarves are starting to get rusty without ammo.

So I made myself a lizard to stone people with :p
Also, for me, a book out of sandstone seems pretty impresive. All artifacts are usable, meaning this book would have pages, legit pages made of sand. I say, draft this guy into mages corp.

It was never a promise. It was a dirty lie, and you all knew that. You should all know by now that you can't trust a word I say.

Artifacts tend to do unlikely stuff like that. Doesn't make anyone any more magical than anyone else outside the Schools of Magic.

To be fair, a magmaproof wall made of ice is everyday ocurance for dwarves, and that is not even artifact related. Males me wonder though, what one would need to do to have them recognised as having magical talent.

Hey, if the magma hot enough and the ice smooth enough, it would probably work!

LEARNING TIME! It's called the Leidenfrost effect. It's the same effect that let's you dunk your hand in a tank of liquid nitrogen for a short amount of time without screaming "OH GOD WHAT DID I DO!"

Well, arcane dwarves can become invisible to hostile eyes either briefly or indefinitely. Several 'hunters' I have in the units list had to be renamed Sorcerer so I would know who was a magical dorf and who wasn't, and are legendary in the art of ambushing and staying out of sight, even to other dwarves now.

Do we have any clay/peat/dirt? Or lots of stone we need to get rid of?

Could I claim the sorcerer Bim Zagodvakun, and dub him Bobnose the Flatulant? Because that silly name will not leave me head. And it's a misunderstanding, really. There's a difference between a flatulist and a flutist.

Despite what you might be thinking, no, he is not an aspiring air mage.

We have fireclay on site actually. Why, you have something in mind?

I think I can arrange that. Any particular school you want him to join?

Gather Clay/R ---> Cut Fire Clay/R until gemcutter is Legendary---> Gem everything for everyone.

Not that there's anything wrong with the idea, but I'd like a good reason to make new everything (or tear out an encrust everything) besides the hell of it, since we aren't exactly hurting for migrants or anything.
