That hospital with locked in corpses, it should have been walled off as soon as the ghostly door opener started showing up.  Now it may be too late :(

Splendid update as always, altho it pains me to see such disastrous events take place in such a lovely glacier...

A little more fun than you hoped for, a lot less fun than we all expected.

How far are you going to let this go before you institute a lockdown, DS? Zombies in the dining room or statuary will be devastating.

It'll have to get a little worse. So far, each undead outbreak has been contained by the military, which is the fortress' first line of defense. I know I could be more cautious, but too much prudence doesn't make for a great story.

Finished: Weatherwires, the Last Mountainhome. A tragic mix of Children of Men, City of Ember, and, uh, magma.
Stymied: Correspondence from Syrupurns, a prematurely ended narrative, told through annual updates.
In Progress: Roomcarnage, a fortress clinging to life beneath a haunted glacier.

Fair enough, this is nail biting for sure! It's like the whole fort is wobbling, and at any moment it might lean past its tipping point. :D

Caught up with new chapters. Keep going!

I wonder what will happen when Rith arises as a ghost...

So much win here, and the foreboding is genuine.  I am still in shock that a honest-to-Armok accidental atom-smashing sealed the fate of my favorite vampire.

Dammit, I was mad because I thought it was updated, but then I noticed it was you, and gotta say your vampires scared the crap out of me... a naked elder human vampire recruit ambushing you is damned unsettling, much more so when they bust out the speed boost and go from 15 to 2 squares away by the time you move once. Shame I can't figure out how to keep gear from dropping to the ground during a transformation.
