Uhhh
What do you consider reasonable temperature?
They're silicon based. They need to be pretty hot in order to keep themselves from freezing solid.
1420 Celsius. It's above the melting point of silicon and it's 118 degrees above the melting point of iron.
And now, my own character sheet:
Name of species and civilization: Cree, Cree Ceksturk (Transcribed from creaking noises; "Cree Conglomerate")
Picture and/or physical description:
While most creatures on the volcanic moon of Psyron develop a very high full-body temperature, the Cree developed something elsea a very thick shielding. While this makes them much slower than other species, they have gained the ability to swim through the magma, and an immunity to predators. They have pincers for mouths, which they use to manipulate tools they form on the shore of magma lakes, and hundreds of pinholes on their backside, for jetting through the lava. Their shielding allows for a wriggling motion, but it's very slow on land. Their shielding makes them look metallic due to how it is formed through direct ingestion of iron.
A newborn, due to not having any shielding, appears to be a small, hot tube of silicon. If pierced, it would seem almost entirely liquid on the inside. They are around the size of an acoustic guitar at full growth. A newborn is the size of a standard thumb.
Racial characteristics: (e.g. flight, other unique attributes)
Shielding:
A heavy shielding protects them from everything, but makes them incredibly slow. A Cree has never been seen to die from direct attack, only illness, age, compromised shielding from virii, extreme falls... the list goes on.
Multithreaded thought:
While their bodies are extremely slow, their minds are... alright. Their mind is very multithreaded, containing many thoughts at once, and for very long times; however, they are slow. They can be plotting hundreds of things at once, which will take forever to be completed. Or they can leave themselves open to surprise and spend a few minutes to formulate a single entire plan.
Jets:
To move through the magma, they spray out some of it they capture into a small sac in their shielding, and jet it out of hundreds of pinholes on the backside, propelling them forwards. This leaves them heavily vulnerable on land, having to resort to a wriggling motion.
Sound-based vision:
By sending out vibrations through their casing, they can determine shapes around them, and communicate, through it just sounds like groaning iron to most ears.
Racial biography:
The Cree were heavily picked on by most creatures as an evolutionary baby. Eventually some mutated the ability to ingest iron and form it into a casing, though not digest it. With basic wriggling motions and small iron casings, more survived than before; eventually, a "scoop" for feeding slowly mutated, allowing them to survive easier; and eventually, a pressurized jet was formed for excretion, allowing them to move faster.
Due to the inability for them to die from combat, this resulted in the combat instincts causing more deaths from starvation from getting sucked into large, unwinnable fights; eventually their brain developed, resulting in the Cree of today. While not outright aggressive, they are frugal and plotting.
Location: The same moon as the Destrachen.
Technology: Tribal. Extra technology: masonry.
Once I finish up the maps we can get this thing started, if no one has a problem with my own entry.
