((Zelda isn't married though. She has nothing to do with this crime. Yet. And Link was being controlled. Like a puppet.))

((You have his signed confession, so yes, he'll be tried in a separate case. Being mind controlled by a Sue counts as Diminished Capacity. Since he didn't do it out of his free will and was hardly capable of preventing it, at worst his crime is Involuntary Manslaughter. Under the circumstances, a decent lawyer could even get him acquitted, but most likely he'll face a relatively short prison sentence halved, or even entirely replaced with, parole.

Remember though, you're supposed to defend the King and stop him from being jailed innocent. Finding the true culprit helps, but it's not completely essential.))

Pffft, yeah, but this is (an) Ace Attorney (ripoff). You don't win unless you find the real killer. (It could also be construed as an attempt to defend Link with an insanity defense.)

"Link's wife was... I don't believe it. And... Link did it? That's... dear gods."

"Promise me you'll prove Link's innocence. Please? I couldn't live with myself unless you do."

[FelixSparks]

"Of course! For an Attorney, it doesn't count as a win unless we find the truth. We'll prove both your and Link's innocence, and reveal the real criminal for who she is."

He nods and gives the King a thumbs up.

"Just count on Blaze and me. We'll make this right."

[Tawa]

"The prosecution believes this means that Link is linked to the crime. No pun intended."
