"hold on just a moment, I have a few questions about that"

1. how was her condition fatal

2. that still leaves plenty of time for her to be alive, how do you know that she did not make another sometime between the first one, and her death. or perhaps she made two at the same time.

3. how do we know someone else did not make a similar item or devise a spell for the purpose of cloaking.

"You're wasting the court's time! CD-i Hyrule has the greatest restrictions on magic in the multiverse. No new magical items were ever created in it after the Universal Police discovered its existence, immediately after the... incidents of Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon.  There is no way the killer was invisible!"

"Thank you. Be warned that if you continue to press irrelevant lines of questioning such as that, you will be be penalized."

"Now, let us begin the first cross-examination. This man stumbled upon the body the day of the murder."

Witness #1

"Name and profession."

"I.M. Meen."

"I asked for your name, not your demeanor."

"That is my name."

"What? Th... the puns are getting worse."

"You, boy! In the coat! Oh, how I hate kids! He's not going to cross examine me, is he?"

"He will cross-examine you, but he's n--"

"NO NO NO! I WON'T HAVE ANY CHILD DO SUCH A THING!"

"For the sake of the court, can you please at least pretend it's an adult? Even though he's already one?"

"FINE! IF YOU INSIST! BUT HE HAS TO PUT ON A DEEP VOICE!"

"Fine. Blaze-dono, put on your best grown-up voice, please. Mr. Meen, please tell the court what you saw, and knock some sense into our silly defense attorneys here."

-- What I Saw --

"I was at Hyrule Castle on a business trip."
"I heard a screaming sound coming from the room where the King was having a meeting."
"I rushed in, and the King was kneeling over the Duke!"
"His hands were covered in blood, but the wound was clean."
"I called for the guards and ran off."

Doesn't work in court sequences, sorry.

"There wasn't an awful lot of blood anywhere but the sword's blade."
also might I ask what you profession is, and what business did you have in the castle?

"I'm a powerful magician, and I lock children inside magic mazes to kill things and fix grammar errors. I was at the castle on account of having a summation hearing regarding the legality of my actions."

"If you intend to indict the witness, don't even bother. His other crimes have been cleared up with the state, and there were several other witnesses outside the room. Meen was passing by and was the one who looked inside the room; the other witnesses' alibis check out with his."

"mister meen, I would like to know your thoughts on this. more specifically, does it not strike you as odd that such a wound, one that covered the floor with blood, would not stain the clothes, what do you believe could have caused something like that"

"The floor was covered in blood? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT‽"

"...Have you ever even stabbed someone, 'swordmaster'?"

"If you had, you'd know that while the blade is still in, very little blood is lost."

"Meen saw the scene while Harkinian still had the sword in!"

"...He's right. The king was holding the sword."

"Contradiction resolved! Add that to your testimony, witness."

"oh yes, I was simply under the impression that the blade had been removed, however this creates another contradiction.
