Note: Updated to 1.4.10 for this one. The changelog for it mentions the airdrop in Polaris is gone. The only things in it that I haven't found yet are the Silver Wing(which probably isn't supposed to be in Omicron anyway) and the Black Ticket. I also installed Melly's UI Overhaul. I've also noticed a bug where the game seems to have forgotten what Mega-Stones(and probably a few other things besides) I've got, so I've been picking extras up.
Defeated in the Challenge Championship, by utter blatant cheating, I leave Pheonix Iota in disgust, hoping for a way to overcome the damn thing. I end up back in Cassiopeia's Gym, to challenge those Ninja Guardians, who are still active despite my having beaten Enelle.
Oh, am I, now?
Mmm, check out the new graphics.
The only downside is that the file size for these screenshots has gone up by 10x.
Garchomp hurts with Fire Fang, but is no match for Lucario.
So much for the deathtrap, huh.
This is going to feel good.
Really good.
After losing to Blaziken in the tournament, it felt good dishing out some revenge.
Strangely, Cresselia is faster than Salamance. Even with my maxing her Speed IV, I don't know if she should be that fast. Salamance survives Ice Beam, but suicides with a Life Orb.
Another Dragon-type?
She hits off two ExtremeSpeeds, which hurt a little.
Because of the Balloon, I use Rock Smash before Earthquake. Before that, Metagross used Titanic Force, but it missed. Probably a good thing too.
Another Balloon. I confuse him with Rock Climb, though the confusion didn't hurt him. He wastes the turn the Balloon bought him using Swords Dance.
Game over, buddy. I think I'll just waltz right in past you guards.
You have NO idea how that feels.
Seriously though, I'm laughing so hard at this it hurts.Indeed.
My next stop brings me to Andromeda Town, where someone is offering Binacle for a Pokémon with a Speed IV of 0. Trudging through my boxes looking for the lowest-level Pokémon that is also completely replacable, I find the Rhyhorn I got from Onega's Safari Zone.
My assumption is that it evolves into Barbaracle, whom I've encountered a few times.
Funnily enough, Algae has a Speed IV of 30.
Next it's Antares Town where somebody wants exactly the opposite: a perfect Speed IV(31) for a Honedge. Again, I look through my boxes for a low-level Pokémon. I pick out the Espurr that I caught on Route 308 - the first Espurr I caught, the second one was on my main Aroma Team. Both are female.
I guess I should expect good things from her, then. Aegislash has caused some damage before(mostly because I keep forgetting about Sacred Sword).
Honedge's Pokédex entry though...
This isn't Excalibur, it's fucking Soul Edge.
The last trade I look at is in Herculis Town; a Fairy-type for a Goomy. However, I don't really have any viable Fairy-types at the moment, so I head over to Orbic Cave to catch another Carbink.
Devout worshipper of what?
Apparently, he worships Goomy.
Err, what? That can't seriously be Goomy's Pokédex entry. I think I'd prefer Dad's cyborg Goomy. I suspect that it evolves into Goodra, but I shudder to think what
that Pokédex entry would be.
Leaving Aroma, I stop over in Blackfist. There's a house with two guys who talk about Arceus and Giratina. Apparently, Arceus is on the planet Incipio A, while Giratina can only be found "if it wants to be found". (*cough* the airdrop helped with that, but it's gone now)
With no idea what to do next, I wander over to Ladoga. First, I check if I have all 12 Ancient Tomes. I don't, but the problem is that I don't know how many I have. I know they're in houses in each town with a Gym, including the Sigil Hall towns, it's just there's no indication of
which ones I have already.
So, instead, I climb the lighthouse. I forget why I went up there.
That wasn't here the last time I was up here.
"A polaroid photo of a burning tower. What looks like large birds are seen circling the tower."
(I think the trigger for this item being here was getting the Rainbow Wing. I don't know how, but it disappeared from my inventory. I was able to go to Superior and get it again by using the Time Caller by the Secret Base entrance.)
I happen to know a guy who knows about photographs.
Unfortunately, he's dead.
However, I can fix that.
"for you?"I also have the Omega Photograph, which gives the word "ETERNAL", and that it may be something from outer space or the ancient past. I'll have a guess as to where that's for later. As for the Tower Photograph...
"It really reminds me of a myth from the Johto region. Something to do with a legendary creature and a tall tower...
I can tell you where that picture was taken! I believe it was taken near Andromeda City. This looks an awful lot like a tower in the desert near there! I hope I helped!"Apparently, that tower between Quake Desert and Route 3X is for Ho-oh, and not Regigas as I thought. Holy crap. I think the Ancient Tomes lead to Regigas.
Since I'm hunting Ho-oh, I need to prepare. Goomy get's boxed for Mawile(who has False Swipe). And then I go shopping. I need BALLS, lots of BALLS! Ultra Balls, Timer Balls, all the balls I can grab! And I can grab a great many balls!
Then I travel all the way back to Quake Desert.
"Touch the inscriptions? >Yes/No"Wait, he didn't say anything about the inscriptions, just the tower itself. Anyway, I can finally touch them.
This almost looks like a tomb. And I'm not alone in here.
The female player character?! This is interesting.
And you remind me of somebody... I could have been? ...That sounded wrong.
"It seems it's brought the two of us together, hmm?"...Are you coming on to me?
Not that I'd say no to that."you, and we will battle."Does this ripped-off wing count?
"I suppose that means you have come to see Ho-Oh. Very well, let's not waste anymore time. I will only battle you once. When you are ready, talk to me and we will battle. We will see which hero deserves to command Ho-Oh more!"Alright, that was intense. First, I save, and make sure everyone is ready for a fight, since this is going to be a big one.
Her name is "Omicron"?! This fight is probably bigger than I thought.
In addition to being a Shadow Pokémon, Gardevoir also had the shiny effect when she came out(though there's usually a star on their HP bar to signify a shiny).
I'm glad I got some balls before this battle, since it looks like I'm getting more than just Ho-Oh.
A False Swipe takes out half of her HP, and I start throwing balls.
It takes just two. I forgot that Gardevoir is not a legendary, and therefore won't deplete my entire bag.
Looks like an entire team of Shadows. Dragonite might be a bit trickier to catch.
...Or not.
But... wait. I'm the one with Victini. Sure, I left him in the box to rot after I caught it, but...
Victini hit Diancie with V-Create, which I thought only Rayquaza could learn. I'll have to check the Event Tutor when I get back to base. In the meantime, Diancie takes advantage of V-create's debuffs to ram some gems into some eye sockets.
The Victory Pokémon didn't really stand a chance against Diancie, Princess of Sparkle.
I quite honestly forgot which of those two is roaming Vesryn(which I still haven't encountered in the wild yet). Looking back, it was Latios.
Since this a Dragon, I set up Moonblast, but then...
I know I once remarked that Struggle's animation looked like some kind of mecha-Lati*s. Well, that's it. (I looked at the game images, both Latios and Latias use the same image for their Mega-Evolution)
Surf scratches Cresselia a bit, while Moonblast takes off a quarter of Latias' HP per hit. After getting her down halfway, Omicron switches out.
I Spore Metagross, then start using Heavy Balls.
Latias is back, and I send in Diancie. She gets better mileage out of Moonblast.
Over the course of the (very) long fight, I switched to Mawile to False Swipe, which failed when she was immediately knocked out, triggering Ho-Oh's Hyper Mode. Then I had to switch to Lucario to Heal Pulse Ho-Oh. Then, after Lucario went down, I sacrificed Heliolisk(and moreover, her Air Balloon) to revive him and Victreebel, then healed Ho-Oh again. Was it worth it?
Yes. Yes it freaking was.
What did you expect? You brought Shadow Pokémon to a battle with a guy with more (Poké) balls than brains.
"as I once thought. A shame, a shame. But thank you for the battle! I had great fun!"Hey Omicron, if you're not doing anything later-
Dangit. Almost had that one.
With that particular legend taken care of, I head back up to the space colony. First, I see if I can enter Shadow Pokémon into the tournament. Ho-Oh is banned, but the other three I picked up are allowed. Unfortunately, they're 20 levels lower than the competition, and all but Dragonite(but including Shadow Ho-Oh) have only one move: Shadow Rush.
I enter them anyway and get curb-stomped. I do discover a bug using multiple Shadow Pokémon where if one goes Hyper and faints(in this case, in the same turn),
the Hyper Mode carries over to the next Shadow Pokémon sent out. Nevermind, it sticks all the way until you use the Call command.
I looked at Shadow Ho-Oh, and noticed that it's Original Trainer is listed as Gold, but with my Trainer ID. The other three have me as the OT.
The REAL reason I came back up here, is because of the Omega Photograph. To recap, I picked it up in Turkana Town near the Turkana Stone, which normally gives Plates for showing it legendary Pokémon, while playing with Tesseract. I took it to the guy in Nyasa Town along with the Tower Photograph, and he said it reminded him of something from outer space, or the distant past, and he thought of the word "ETERNAL".
Well, the space colony is in outer space(derp), but as for the distant past thing...
I checked this out before, but couldn't figure it out. It leads to the top of the Challenge Championship steps. But there's something else there.
"Inscribed around the letters is a golden circle. I can try typing a password..."I'll try typing in what I think it is.
0_o What.
(In case you were wondering, the password actually was "eternal")
Looks like a secret gathering place of some sort. I quickly find the guy in charge.
Or rather, the shiny Teddiursa in charge. (Note: Shiny Teddiursa is green, not blue, so what the hell is Tim?)
The society dedicated to people with serious wrist-bling.
And there goes another continent. Archie must be happy."In the King's absence, I am the Leader of the Society. There are powerful forces out there, spacetime deities that control the world. The Gold Cuff Society was organized recently, with prominent members such as the King, Wilson, and I."Dad's part of the club? I wonder if that "gift" I have to fight him for is my own wrist-bling.
"Meaning, they are catchable and controlable by humans. We organized a group of trainers we can trust, ones who can hope to control those deities safaley before anyone else does. Unfortunately, nobody has managed to yet."So it's not a society of wrist-bling, it's a society dedicated to stopping something by doing the very thing they are trying to stop, for their own ends. Great.
"planets in the back of the cave."I don't see how nobody has been able to catch them. I mean, Cipher and Olympus both have been handing out Master Balls like candy, and I don't mean the Rare variety.
Maybe the other Society members have something that might help.
"Reshiram and Zekrom are Truth and Ideals respectively... And Arceus is a god above all of them. Do not underestimate them should you choose to fight them."Well, that's great. Wait, N already has Reshiram, and Cyrus had Dialga. Or do they no longer have them?
"With a flick of a wrist- or hoof- they can destroy you utterly, or make it so that you never existed. Remember, this is what the Gold Cuff Society is trying to stop. This power entering a normal human's hands."...Yeah, I remember a guy who managed a fragment of that power. I had to kill him
twice to stop him.
Still, they're trying to stop humans acquire the forces of the creators of the universe... by training people who are trying to acqiure the forces of the creators of the universe.
"If you catch Dialga or Palkia, maybe I can hook you up with this item, hmm? Better a member of the Gold Cuff Society than anyone else, right?"But I'm not a member. Unless it's a forced hereditary membership kind of thing. As for this other deity, if it's related to Dialga and Palkia, then it must be... oh crap.
"Zekrom and Reshiram live on Trutina Y, which is one of the two wormholes on the middle level. The other goes to Numen X, where Dialga and Palkia rest. And of course, the creator Arceus itself is on the top level."Four wormholes, six gods.
Time to get the fundamental creation forces of the universe! I already have the Mind Trio, who are only two steps removed from Arceus. For now, I start with Frigida Z as Arceus isn't on His planet right now.
From here, I have to work my way through an ice-slide puzzle again, all the while questioning how I can even breathe here. Forget thin atmosphere, I doubt I can breathe methane. Eventually, I make it through, and discover that Kyurem is not there either.
I take the wormhole on the middle-left, which leads to Numen X.
In addition to the item ball, there's two statues.
Yuri and Neil are Dialga and Palkia?
The item ball is a Lustrous Orb. It's a hold item for Palkia, which boosts Water- and Dragon-type moves.
There's one more statue.
Huh. I wonder whose memorial this is.
There's one more, except it's a person.
"I've been expecting you, here at Numen X."Forget how I'm breathing, how the heck are you breathing?
"unworthy. I already know your heart, your skill, but I am afraid we must battle. If you cannot defeat me, you will never be allowed to meet Palkia!"Oh good. I don't like this guy, so I'll beat him up.
Crobat gives Mawile a Mean Look, while the two smack each other around. Crobat does very little damage with Air Slash.
Now, how the heck am I suppose to catch that if Cyrus has it? Or did they just recycle the whole scenario for Zeta, just reversing which Pokémon is available?
Diancie is brought down in one hit with Flash Cannon. I send in Lucario.
Mega-Lucario throws an Aura Sphere at the God of Time.
I think that was supposed to be more difficult.
Nothing to see here, just a quick floor-stomp.
And you look like you're on meth.
In all honesty, you're just a minor inconvenience.
"deserves! Capture Palkia!"Stairs appear, leading to where I have to go. First, I run back to heal, since I bet I'll need full strength for this one.
Standard god-capture procedure: Mega-Evolve Mawile, False Swipe, switch to Victreebel, Spore, and empty inventory of Ultra Balls at it. Meanwhile, Palkia fires off Aura Sphere's and Hydro Pumps. I would think the God of Space would have something a little better.
It took ONE Ultra Ball, I kid you not.
I return to the Society, where only one person has noticed what I've done.
He gives me the Black Ticket.
My next stop is Trutina Y, where Reshiram and Zekrom live. I assume I get Zekrom, since N has Reshiram.
But first, some more statues.
Hitler?
I will freak out if the next one has my birth year on it.
Freakout averted. So, who's the next major dictator who is only 3-4 years old?
Speaking of N...
What the hell, how are any of us breathing?! N is not Batman! I am! And Cyrus... well, maybe?
"I am the Guardian of the legendary that awaits you- the almighty Zekrom itself. It is little more than a formality, but we must battle. Zekrom itself has dictated that its Guardian must be defeated before he is... Best of luck! I'm sure you'll do fine!"Cheerful little bastard, isn't he?
I think the 1.4.10 patch messed up the Illusion ability even more. He clearly announced himself with "PKMN Trainer N sent out Zoroark!" instead of Vanilluxe. Previously, it would disguise the name, all the way to the point that it would still have the name even after Illusion was dispelled. The cry was still a giveaway.
Zoroark hammered Mawile with Night Daze, but didn't last any longer than that.
I Mega-Evolve Lucario, and send an Aura Sphere at Reshiram, but a Fire Blast cuts him down. Apparently a god of Time can't tank Aura Sphere, but a god of Truth can.
I throw in Diancie and see if she sticks.
Due to her injuries, Mawile is quickly dispatched. Heliolisk instead gets the ice cream treat.
EAT MEAT, YOU STICK-FIGURE HIPPY.
"You have overcome many hurdles... And even come to space, to hunt down Zekrom. Let me not delay you further! Go forth, Akura! Capture Zekrom!"Aw yiss, I'm gonna capture Zerkom, I'm gonna-
Oh crap, that's a being of pure darkness.
Yes, it did that.
Where Reshiram had a blazing aura, Zekrom has a bursting aura.
Zekrom's Bolt Strike brings Mawile to her knees(wait, does she even *have* knees?), forcing me to use a Full Restore before bringing it to 1HP. However, godcap procedure still works, and it only takes two balls.
I did honestly expect it to be Dark-type.
Hooray, two gods down, three to go(counting the Black Ticket)!
I head back to Frigida. When I get back to where Kyurem wasn't...
"Akura... Are you really prepared for this? As you may know, I captured the Pokémon Reshiram, many years before you've even seen Zekrom."Do note: first time I've seen Zekrom = five minutes ago.
"It truly is a shame they released it. But now you have Zekrom, and I have Reshiram. Together, we can open the way to Kyurem. Bring Zekrom to the front of your party, and speak to me once more. One requires Truth and Ideals to pass the Unwhole Pillars."Bleh, really? I go back to the space colony, grab Zekrom, and come all the way back here through the ice maze. I also grab Palkia for the other planet.
On the way back, I looked at Zekrom's Trainer Memo; it has a Quirky nature and is "impetuous and silly". While I know that last bit is a gauge of a Pokémon's IVs, I still think it's odd that a god of Ideals would be quirky, impetuous, and silly. Meanwhile, Palkia has a Gentle nature, and is quick-tempered.
"Unwhole Pillars! Blue Flare! Bolt Strike! Show off your powers!"I don't see how a fireworks show, awesome as it is, is going to work here...
But it does.
"truth or ideals to make itself whole again. The same legend also says that Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom were once the same dragon- owned by the hero of Unova. To catch Kyurem would be an incredible feat of strength- for that, I wish you best of luck."To be whole, Kyurem also requires the DNA Splicers, which I already have.
An NPC in... Huron Town, I think it was, mentioned that Dad had a unique Pokémon described as a fusion of Zekrom and Kyurem, but I doubt Megasparce has anything on Black Kyurem.
It's smaller than I thought it'd be.
It was significantly harder to catch, but still pretty reasonable.
Next stop, Incipio A. I will bring down the creator of the universe.
And guess who's waiting for me?
"The Alpha One resides upwards here on Incipio A. As you may know, I captured the Pokémon Dialga, many years before you've even seen Palkia. These Pillars of Origin block the way to the Creative One. Bring Palkia to the front of your party, and speak to me once more. One requires both Time and Space to pass the Pillars of Origin."Foresight helps. No, no, not the move Foresight, that's almost useless.
"Pillars of Origin! Roar of Time! Spacial Rend! Show off your true strength!"The pair proceed to rip Creation a new one.
"Up there are 18 statues, each representing the original elements that created the universe. You'll have to fight all of them, one at a time. It'll be a grind, but it'll be worth it. To even catch a glimpse of the Alpha One... I envy you. Again, good luck."Okay, so I have to
fight all 18 Plates? Wait, 18? I only have 15 Plates, all except the Pixie Plate and Spooky Plate. So is there another Divine Plate up around here?
Maybe I'm thinking it wrong. Anyway I start fighting statues. The first one reads Memorpheus. It asks me to touch my Mind Plate to the statue, meaning the Plates
are required. Eep.
Whatever the heck that is, I have Lucario Zombie Strike it. The statue/trainer thing doesn't say much after winning but does give me Ł11000.
Quite annoyingly, each one
is a Pokémon that appears in the Pokédex.
Since I can read each statue before battling them, I can leave and pick out different Pokémon to battle each statue. I shall endeavor to have a different Pokémon to counter each.
This one had Levitate, so Earthquake missed. >_<I never got around to purifying Omicron's Shadows."Looks like someone already defeated this statue."
I can only assume that's the Pixie Plate.
What?!
GRRR- No. I won't get mad at this. It's one less lock I have to undo.
O_O
"Looks like someone desecrated this statue long ago."
Meaning, I already defeated this one.
There is also Sepulcumbra, the Spooky Plate. I cannot challenge it... since I do not have a Spooky Plate.
The only Ghost-type legendary I'm aware of is Darkrai, who is not in this version. That means my plan of claiming the Creator of the Universe is put on hold until I play Zeta and figure out how to trade locally. Darkrai isn't Ghost-type, just pure Dark.
I am not done, however. I still have the Black Ticket, so I return to Ladoga, and take the ferry to Shadow Island. There, I find a cave. And inside the cave...
Is a portal, that leads to...
The save menu calls it "Distortion World". I have to jump across a bunch of stepping stones. At the end of it, I reach...
I may not be able to capture God, but I'll settle for the Antichrist instead.
Only Lv.50?
I try the godcap procedure, and I have some bad news, and REALLY GOOD NEWS. The bad news, False Swipe doesn't hit. The RGN is Giratina is Ghost-type.
I waste a dozen or so Ultra Balls and Level Balls each. Then on a whim while it was using Shadow Force, I throw a Dusk Ball.
Through trial and tribulation, I walked the path of the Creator, but was spurned out of circumstance. Despairing and ashamed, I fell from the Creator's ways, and into to road walked by the Destroyer. And there, seeking damnation, I found salvation.
(It took me until after finishing this update to notice the battle image and Pokédex image are different - Giratina has two Formes, Origin and Altered, changed by the Griseous Orb it's holding)
Next stop is Turkana Town, where I get the Spooky Plate by bringing Giratina to the Stone. Seriously, I thought it would be Dark-type.
Then it's back to Incipio A, to challenge the final statue.
It appears Sepulcumbra was based off Shedinja, it only had 1HP.
With the final Plate defeated, the way up the mountain is open. The climb is far longer compared to the other ones, but I make it up to the top.
Oh. My. God.
Well, not quite, but it'll soon be.
And Arceus said...
The hell is this?
What.
I DID NOT COME ALL THIS WAY TO DEAL WITH SCP-732!!
"damn
*effort"Get out of my way, internet troll!
BURN.
Oh god, the BGM for this battle is painful to hear. I switch to Diancie to bring down Typhlosion.
Swampert is certainly no match for Victreebel.
Another rapid crush, although Houndoom is a Mega-Evolution.
That looks pretty cool, actually. Still taken out in one hit, though.
More Fire?
This bastard gets lucky with Guillotine, so Lucario finishes him off.
Ugh, this thing is worse than Jake.
Good. Now I can finally own my own Creator of the Universe.
Initiating godcap procedure... which is made all the harder by Arceus' moveset being Hyper Beam, Judgement,
Recover, and
Perish Song.
Even so...
That's it. I have captured the Creator.
Here is His stats, in all His glory.
No Master Ball necessary.None of the gods I just captured can be entered into the Challenge Championship. I was informed, after filling my party with them, that "Uber" Pokémon may not be entered without any explanation of what an Uber-tier Pokémon is - something to do with base stat totals, I believe. It also mentions that the Sleep/Freeze clause is in effect, again without explaining that rule - probably prevents more than one Pokémon being asleep or frozen at a time(a rule that's been around since Pokémon Stadium).
