Bad advice: If you see a black hole or Eldritch abomination result from somebody's casting, run towards it. Hugs can overcome all magic. If you see somebody flinging magic at you, it just means they want to be friends. Shout all your words out loud so you can intimidate people. If you find a word that generates a black hole, go say it next to a bunch of players in a small, confined area.
Good advice (although I can only offer what I've gleaned from reading other Perplexicon threads): You can PM words if you don't want others to know what you cast, but wait listers might appreciate it if you said your magic words in the thread. Teaming up can be very helpful. Finding the words to turn your body into a solid material like iron or diamond can help you survive. Turning your body into booze, while making you a hit at parties, may also mean you can be decapitated with a punch. If you see someone summon a black hole or Eldritch abomination, run the other way quickly. If someone starts flinging lightning or shooting eye lasers at you, do not hug them. Unless your body is made of electricity or magma or something.

A note on this: Transmutation in the current ruleset has changed, but telling you would be meta so I will simply say
that asking around about it will inform you, although some NPC's may only trade such information for words.
Why is this meta? because it is a way of using magic that is not dependent on words but application
How many words do I need to say to shoot off a spell?
Minimum one word to shoot off a spell but you have pool to consider. So if a spell has a cost of 5 you want about 10 pool casting as you have on each die 50% chance of gaining a success. So to cast a spell with one word you could use one pool but it may not succeed because it costs 3 like tungsten carbide for example and a score of 3 is extremely hard to score with one die. It is possible though with a critical a critical is when you roll the pool and gain a number of sucesses greater than the number of dice so on one die if you roll a 6 you gain two (you outnumber the die by one), and roll again only needing a 4 or greater for a spell of cost three. This is the exception and not the rule however
