"Hilda, shutdown and conserve your energy," Bartimaeus says, and Hilda does so. He closes his eyes and speaks up, opening them to everyone.
"This was Hanaestil's doing. I suppose most of you all know who she is, considering the trouble we went through with Belkelel five years ago?"

Bartimaeus turns to Sen, a frown on his face.
 "No, I can tell you exactly what Hilda is. A fragment of Hanaestil's essence constructed into a core, 1/7 to be exact. She doesn't have a soul."
"H-Huh..?"

((Not really. And if the jets are not reactionless, then you still have to spit out fuel to propel yourself. Also fusion doesn't produce electricity directly. It just produces heat which has to be converted to electricity, which involves turbines and other cumbersome devices.))
