Bartimaeus lets out a sigh and shapeshifts into a monkey, hopping through and out the shop. He closes the open sign and stands outside the door.
He then teleports to New York again.

New york is the same as he left it. Desolate, in ruins, full of shadow wraiths.

Bartimaeus sighs and shapeshifts into a tall shadow man.

 "I suppose there is no turning you back--the anguish and despair has overcome you. You shall never find hope or light in your life anymore, for you will no longer listen as your judgement is clouded by hysteria. I will end your pain, Shade--I will end your despair with the sweet loving embrace of oblivion," Bartimaeus says as an astral image of himself projects out into the air--Bartimaeus's astral magic. The image rushes forward and attempts to swing a shapeshifted sword of blackness at a shadow wraith.

The Shadow wraith dissipates an a screech is heard. It seemed as if Bartimaeus hurt something, but as soon as the screeching stops, the shadow he hit reforms. It lets out a bellow as the other Shadow wraiths all turn to face Bartimaeus. The look in their eyes is one of anger and wrath.

 "Give up. I have hope on my side, which is a light that shines on all," Bartimaeus says as the astral image fades away. He shapeshifts into an extremely bright ball of blinding white light.

More of the wraiths dissipate. No screeching is heard this time. The curse, however, still seems to be active.

Michael watches the eternal twilight, this time from behind much heavier cover. He has a feeling this will end... Spectacularly. You don't want to be hit by a spectacular ending.

Michael films the area by resting his camera on the ledge and looking at the screen from below. He's quite certain something big is comeing, if the noise is an indication.
His eyes are decently bright currently.

The helicopters, military and media, escort the castle to a clearing.

"If it wasn't for the helicopter, this could be over fairly quickly. I'd just fine you for about 2500 euros, say it was a flight gone wrong, and that would be the end of that.

But something batted that media copter out of the sky, and the whole world saw. SERT's gonna be up our asses to get their hands on those thrusters. You're gonna need a good excuse to weasel out of this, but we'll have to arrest you until then."

One of the military copters lands and picks up the camera crew, while the rest unload several squads of black ops anti-magic infantry.

"So, who's on board the castle? I'd be betting there's a few of you."

"Look, that wasn't us. We only have bullets in those guns, check it you want. It was a malevolent creature, from the void probably. They're always dicking around somewhere. It probably caught a ride on one of the ledge where the anti void field isn't up and then blasted the helicopters engine with something."

 "Would he have wanted this, Shade!? Would the one you loved--Samson--truly want you to do this!? Murder thousands of innocent lives!?"

"IS THAT WHAT HE WANTED!?" he bellows, his voice booming across the entire city as his form began to crack, a blue-green light shining out from the crevices that were formed. The cracks grew and the blackness on Bartimaeus's form faded away as it became replaced by the eldritch blue green colors that swirled and sparked with a passionate life, morphing taller and growing two large claws that could slice a train apart. The head twisted and morphed until it rounded and blue eyes sparked to life into it. He looks up and lets out a piercing roar as he sheds his physical form and ascends into his true form, the swirling essence of it erratically arcing to life as he began to float up, speaking with a voice that constantly shifted--it seemed both male and female and shifted accents--it was quite difficult to even comprehend, much less make something out of it.
