You guys are pretty generous with the XP, but don't go overboard when handing it out. Levels are more powerful now.

I think the opposite is the case. The tactic for beating increasingly powerful foes should not be "just add more and more characters", but characters actually becoming more powerful. In fact, characters gaining some additional powers and better equipment will happen continously through my plots. If players stay roughly the same, while enemies become way more powerful, well, you saw what Amazeroth did to the party. Now imagine if he had 50 more stat points. what about 100?

edit: also more levels and loot are more satisfying than what we used to do "just do a random roll and suddenly claim my character now has enchanted and/or built better equipment"
