I just realized. With the bardic music class feature, any of the performing skills count even if it's singing. One of Caerill's is comedy. Does that mean I can Fascinate people by doing stand-up? Please say yes. This needs to be done.

Absolutely yes.  Alternately, bad puns, but either way you'll need to roleplay them.  I like the idea of some of your jokes being so terrible that people just stop and stare open-mouthed at them. :D

I once played a rather Elan-inspired character who had the Improved Feint ability, and since it relied on a Bluff check I played it as him pulling off really, really bad puns - so bad they flinched, giving him an opening for his rapier.

Oooh, you have asked the son of the terrible pun master for bad puns.

Example of my dad's puns: "The latest Asian bestseller: Shit on the Wall by Woo Flung Dung".

Yeah, I'll permit the non-LG variant paladin, so long as you're not True Neutral.  Just re-stat your "Smite Evil" and matching abilities to go against one of the axes (so "Smite Good", "Smite Law" etc).
Then lets get started! I'm not familiar with the feats in 3.5... Got a rulebook or a page with the feats for them? And I'll be going the stereotypical Lawful evil Blackguard then (smite good, detect good).

EDIT:
Will this change my Lay on Hands? Like will it remain healing or will it be a damaging attack? I have no problem with either or.

What Paladin variant are you guys using?

Also, retconning my earlier statement about lack of time. How often would we need to post?

You can pick whether to heal or harm with Lay Hands, but it will remain such for the rest of the campaign.  d20Srd has basic feat options and descriptions.

Hm.  Post as often as you like, and if you give me warning you won't have too much time you can submit several actions at once (e.g. a general plan of action during combat, which is when fights tend to be roll-intensive).

Think there should be.  Looking for 4 players, 5 is the max.  Anything else I'd have to waitlist.

I'm going to have to say I'm going to be a non-lawful good paladin, and just say I'm a blackguard (cause in 4e, that's pretty much what a blackguard is: a non-good paladin (even though you can totally have a lawful good blackguard and a chaotic evil paladin, but that's silly)). If there actually IS a blackguard class, then can I get a link to it or something? It would be interesting to look at. I'll keep lay on hands as a heal and I'll probably work for die hard feat so I pretty much become unkillable until I run out of lay on hands and other healing skills. And lawful evil can heal others with no problem: a means to an end, right?

I'm thinking of worshipping Hel or Aegir... I'll figure out a goal in the meantime.

Check the classes section in d20SRD, the SRD has most of the information you need.  There is a Blackguard Prestige Class for 3.5, which requires you to be a Paladin first.  I'm going to say you can just be a blackguard using Paladin stats, and if you want to you can always take the prestige class later.

A word on the gods:  The gods don't take an active role in the world, except through their servants.  Some faiths, such as the Suulian Orthodoxy, are monotheistic and actually denounce all other deities as 'demons' or 'spirits', usually rebranding them as saints after converting a region.  Meditation and focus are required to cast clerical spells, and something guides you in their casting, but you have only your own faith and the word of your clerical superiors that it is your god doing it.

The major reason I wanted to worship Aegir is because that would make my character paranoid as hell when he gets on boats... Especially since Aegir is the god of the sea, sea storms and drowning. Its mostly just to watch my guy panic whenever a storm or something like that shows up.

Basic PHB 1 classes permitted.  If you want to use a different class, you'll need to convince me.  No psionics.  Roll stats; 3d6, but you can select which goes to which stat.  (I'll add that to the OP.)

And yes, 3d6 creates a lower powered character, but I'm looking to run a campaign for less 'elite' characters.  Vulnerability without the suicidal possibility of the 6hp rule.  :P

Well shit crap.

I hated that system and have never liked it. I like deciding my own character.

Ah well. Still going to play.

You can absolutely believe in a god of drowning, that's cool with me.  :D  He just won't ever directly intervene in the gameworld.

It'd be hilarious if he did though. "YOU DIDN'T RAID THAT VILLAGE! I PUNISH YOU WITH STORMS!"
