No, Gav, it still has the wide crest to protect the warriors, it just also has a neck, so it can do something once it gets there.
By far not enough. As a defense against gun emplacements, it'll be useless. You can't prevent them from shooting past.

Then don't target the walls, target defenceless workers too busy farming/building stuff.

And what about grenades? Those can just be tossed over the creature's crest. How about instead of creating a whole new creature, we form a new piece of chitin on one of the Warriors' arms? That way we could have a shield wall or testudo formation for the same effect as the giant crest. If we're advanced enough we should make designs, on the shields, of our warriors killing the Xenos. For fear and stuff.

I think the farms and stuff are inside of the walls...

...then surely yours has the same problem. It's literally yours with a neck and some horns, bit more of a head.

All their important stuff be in their base. Otherwise we wouldn't have stopped the raids.

I don't think the Testudo formation is going to work. I mean, we would need an excessively think chitin part on the our warriors (probably slowing them down a great deal, and hampering them in combat). Our current chitin isn't good enough to stop bullets.

If we want schock troopers I feel this design would be fairly effective http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Tyrant-Guard

Those could work...Also can we tell our workers to do "siege weaponry" research? Just something to tear down walls over far. That way the GM can roll on whether a concept is created or not and whether it's deployed.

Actually, that design won't work.

Large oversized epaulets protecting nothing at all, merely hampering them when moving through confined spaces.
Sides and underside, as well as large arms and legs which are completely without protection, making for easy kills.
Stands upright, meaning it makes a larger target and requires bigger tunnels to move through.

All this without any benefit, at all.

It was more just the concept could work. Large and albeit slower heavily armored soldiers with massive talons to rip through armor, vehicles, and structures.

I dont think large tank are the way to go i think we should just strom them and let some soldier die. The faster we move the faster we can close in to get kills

Currently, storming involves everyone dieing. We need to be able to bring down that wall, and then strike at their production facilities.

What if we created two beasts that work in combination a really large soldier with a single insanely strong throwing arm. And some gliding type beasts so we could just toss them over the wall let them cause some havoc and distract the defenders so are regular soldiers can get closer

Seems quite useless.

I mean, if we want something to be able to fly, we can make it fly.

Okay how about we bio-engineer a flying creature with claws like the soldiers? Have about 30-50 of them attacking sporadically around there bases aiming for workers and avoiding soldiers. Can they be shot down? yes but we NEED to hamper there production options and speed. I imagine they can't just build everything they need inside there fortress because housing, farming, and garages will doubtlessly take up space.

Actually, if we're going for something flying we might want to go for something much, much smaller. Kind of the size of a bat or something, and preferably poisonous.

Makes much less of a target, is more economical, and can infiltrate their fortress by flying into important vents and clogging them and stuff.
