Colonization
Discovery
Colonization is a suggestion game, of sorts, about space colonization. There are two sides, the Colonists, and the Opposition. They are at ends, for one reason or another, and are fighting over the planet of Nuol, thousands of light years away from Sol. Neither side can afford to lose this conflict, and it will be a bloody battle to the death. This will be a multi-thread suggestion game, to try and keep teams from having foreknowledge of the enemy plans. The threads for each team will go up after a consensus is reached about the two sides. Please try to stay in one thread and one thread only.
Nuol is a temperate, terrestrial world, with liquid water, and thus a fine living area for humans. Unfortunately for the Colonists, these favorable traits means that other life already thrives here, and it doesn't appear to be friendly.
Colonists
The Colonists, humans who were either exiled to the colonies or volunteered for the Glory of the New Human Empire, traveled here in a gigantic Arc, a large spaceship that carries thousands of colonists for thousands of years to reach it's destination. They arrived at the planet with barely enough fuel to land. If they don't manage to etch out a living here, they will all die.
Military Outpost:
Your job is to secure this planet as a military outpost on the outskirts of the New Human Empire, so we have ample warning if something invades our space.
A well-armed crew of about 5000, you and your men were sent here to set up a security outpost so no invasion fleets can sneak inside the inner systems.

3000 Soldiers:
1000 Workers:
500 Engineers:
500 Scientists:
Equipment:
3000 Rifles
20 APCs (Big, and armored. Carry 15 men each.)
2 Scouting Helicopters
Static Defense Set (Includes thermal-sensitive turrets, walls, and sandbags.)
Basic Construction Equipment (Few tools, fewer vehicles. Could probably build a house if given a week.)
The Arc (Basic Manufacturing Capabilities, Cramped Housing for all, and Small Lab.)
Machine City:
You are here to build a newer, more advanced city, a city of science and engineering, architecture and art.
Ah, yes, the machine city. No matter how utopian it may sound, it's really just a slum full of factories. Still, this Ark is well equipped for construction and engineering, easily capable of building Rome in a day.
Equipment and People:
People:
3000 Workers
1000 Engineers
750 Scientists
250 Soldiers
Equipment:
Advanced Construction Equipment (Includes tools, vehicles, and concrete.)
Factory Kit (Can manufacture just about anything, given the raw materials.)
250 Pistols (Weak, but light and efficient.)
10 ATVs (Can carry 4 each, lightly armored, but fast.)
The Arc (Cramped Quarters for All, Small Lab.)
Scientific Expedition:
The flora and fauna might kill you, but at least your death will be advancing science!
Sent here to study the planet's environment, this expedition can chew up problems and spit out answers in days where it would normally take weeks.
Equipment and People:
People
2500 Workers
1500 Scientists
500 Soldiers
500 Engineers
Equipment:
500 Rifles (A good marksman with one of these can put a slug through a target at 100 yards every time.)
Advanced Lab (Much faster then the standard one on the Ark.)
Basic Construction Equipment
The Ark (Cramped Quarters, Basic Manufacturing Equipment.)
The Opposition
The Opposition can take many forms. Currently, to keep my own brain from exploding, I will keep this at two. They are set against the Colonists, and it is there job to make the Colonists either leave, or die.
The Natives
We've finally received a message from the Scout ship surveying Noul. They appear to have lost an engine and crashed on the planet. We do not know if anyone survived.
Another ship was sent to scout Noul thousands of years before the Ark arrived. They crashed, but some of the crew miraculously survived. They repopulated, eventually forming into separate, but still connected tribes. They are not quite as technologically advanced as the Colonists, due to their ship being older, but they have a much better feel for the planet, and outnumber the Colonists
Resources:
5 Tribes of 2000 People Each. (Fairly unified, but they occasionally disagree.)
3000 Outdated Rifles
Construction Equipment
Old Manufacturing Equipment
The planet appears to be populated by some sort of ant-like creature, with similar hivemind ideals.
The Aliens have lived on this planet for millions of years, and are the dominant species. They are like ants, but much bigger, and much, much smarter. They do not rely on technology, but are instead born into certain roles.
Resources:
100 Queens (Gigantic, underground egg layers, dozens of feet long. They can't defend themselves, but they lay eggs quickly, and they do not take long to hatch. All of the queens working together can try to create a new type of Alien, but a failure could result in the death of a queen.)
2500 Eggs (1/4 eggs hatches into a soldier, and 1/2000 hatches into a queen.)
10000 Workers (Slightly smaller then a human, workers are skilled builders, and are good at using what limited technology they have. They are still dangerous in combat, but are cowardly and usually run away.)
5000 Soldiers (Much bigger then a human, and very fast, soldiers are bred to kill, with hardened plates and razor-sharp claws. However, they are not very good at normal work.)
Make your choice for the two sides, and I really need to take a break, this took way too long to type.
