The whole idea of me peer-reviewing my plans is that I won't get everyone killed. The GM just happened to come in helping.

Why can't you just let the general send us on a suicide mission?

Because people will be really butthurt if they all die violently. Fine, no more helping. You'll die just fine anyways  :P

I know.. >.> I was joking when I said that, I support your plan completely. I just don't think the GM should be helping us beat the mission he's set up, but I get that he doesn't want things to be unfair in case we're not understanding something.

I just think it's wrong for the GM to tell players directly when they're doing something that's a bad idea. :p

Well, most of your fellow deserters have already ditched you in favour of saving their families, because they aren't evil bastards. You may or may not get your own little side mission when I have a good nugget of free time.

Welp, dibs on a seat in one o them airbags.
What options were there for stealth in 1945? All I'm finding are rifle silencers being invented in 1909 by Mr. Maxim and all of 2 silenced (.22) pistols used by the US & UK sneaky-sneaky-departments. Oh and knives, those are quiet as well.

Basically Welrods, knives, and takedowns. Quiet and painful.

I assume all the PCs will be with the landing squads. As a sniper, you might be in one of the support boats.

Almost forgot about making a map. Give me 15.

Of course, if something goes wrong at any part of the plan, we'll have to improvise.

Hmm, you sure the armor barge is up for the carnage? Looks like it has 2 dedicated artillery pieces and some sandbags on it.

Assuming the attack on comms succeed, the artillery will have no idea where it is, and besides, by that time they'll have a bunch of commandos behind them.

I'm more worried about the half-dozen tank-fish and their cannons. Even on a moonless night, they'll spot the barge when it starts firing, (flashes give it away).

Assuming the in-game stuff semi-reflects the Men of War stuff, fish tanks (LVT4s, IIRC) only have HE rounds, no AP. I don't know if that helps at all.
Since the barge has 2 AT guns, we can take out 2 lvts at a time, as long as they don't aim at the same one.
