The Kingdom (Closed)
« on: April 29, 2014, 05:29:03 pm »

The kingdom of Iondul is beautiful place, huge tracks of lush green hills, large emerald forests, architect that looks like the work of the gods, and the citizens are free to do as they please, with little to no interruptions from the crown. But thats not to say there aren’t any bad things. There are cults, vampires, necromancer sects, and disease is all to common in some of the outer provinces. However, no matter how you look at it, no matter where you live, you’ve had it better than you could have being anywhere else. There aren’t any other kingdoms, but there are independent places in the world, but news of them being razed to ground, or the entire population dying comes almost everyday. However, one the most obvious downsides to living here is that life get predictable and boring after a while. Thats why some people decide to become adventures.

Cartographer
You start with a map, paper and a mapping set, but you can't travel to locations without a map.
Question: If you can't go anywhere without a map, what's the point of the mapping set? Or did you mean can't go to places without making a map of the area?

Normally people will be able to travel without maps, just not as fast as they can without maps. Cartographers loss the ability to fast travel without maps because they've become dependent on using maps, however may travel around making another map should they loss their current map.

Got it. Just as a note that I forgot to mention in the OP, Ill keep track of stats like locations, levels, items, skills perks, etc on paper so no meta-gaming occurs.

Name: Rithos Veryn.
Gender: Male.
Trait: Cultist.
Appearance: Tall, emaciated, disturbingly intense.
Other: Formerly a member of The Heart of Artemus, Rithos was affected by a bad fever, and claims that while comatose with nothing to do but battle pain, he reached a moment of perfect clarity in which it was revealed to him that disease is a punishment of the body by the mind for offences given, and is thus an indication that the mind of the diseased is strong and focused enough to alter the body. The rest of the cult was not amused, and he is most definitely not welcome among them any more.
Since then, Rithos has mostly spent his time preaching (badly) and attempting to give proof of his claims by shaping his body with his mind (unsuccessfully).

Name: Alunk Stonehammer
Gender: Male
Trait: Dwarf
Appearance: Short and stout even for a dwarf. He wears a thick beard, which is neatly braided.
Other (Anything else you may want to add about your character): An dreamer, filled with insatiable curiosity. He's always wanted to do more than just strike the earth; visions of a mighty mountain fortress to call his own tantalize him.

Sorry for so many questions, but:
What are the mechanics like? What do you have in mind for this game in the way of things that might happen? What role play level is expected?

Im not to picky about how much you put into roleplay, just please use some level of grammar, and please avoid meta-gaming and godmodding. Everyone will start off in a different town/city, and Ill PM everyone where they are now,

Riko Valstik (Glow blue, color red.)
Gender: Male Trap.
Trait: Vampire Cattle.
Appearance: Feminine in appearance, hair mid back length, primarily bright blue with streaks of red shot through it. He normally wears a bright blue skintight shirt with a pattern of seven bright red dots on the back. He normally has bright red skintight shorts with streaks of bright blue. He rarely wears shoes as he finds them uncomfortable and prefers the feel of grass beneath his feet over the feel of shoe. Left eye is Bright Blue, Right Eye is Bright Red.
Other: He was abducted at birth by a fairly powerful male vampire and raised as a personal bloodslave. Several magical experiments done by said vampire resulted in his abnormal hair and eye colors. He recently escaped from his master when his master went on an unplanned trip without him. He had felt less and less wanted by his master over the past year and felt extremely hurt that he wasn't brought along and decided after several days of waiting for his master to return that the opportunity to see the world and find something new to live for was a much better alternative to the current state of affairs. He has been traveling for a few days and is nearly out of food, he didn't have the foresight to bring very much. The town he found is a chance to acquire food and possibly something interesting to do. He has absolutely no idea how the world works as he lived an extremely sheltered life. He is in for some harsh reality checks. And if his master ever finds him again, who knows how Riko will react.

((I would prefer if he started with the early stage of the disease for vampirism, if that affects anything rollwise.))

((Edit: Fuck, posted after you closed. Started before you closed.))

Kyle goes looking for a job.
Looking around there aren't really any jobs, recently the town was beginning to become over populated, so the number of available jobs decreased. However, word about town is that the museum built inside an old vampire ruin is looking for someone after their previous tour guide was murdered in the line of work.

Alunk looks around for a Miner's guild, checking if they have any contracts in far flung locales.
There was no real guild for miners, just a few miners who hung out together in a hovel they built outside the local mine. Heading there, there were a few man inside, no one really paid you any mind, until a dwarf sitting at a table with a mug of ale peeked up from his drink, he immediately smiled and motioned for you to take a seat next to him.

Try to find a job as a gladiator trainer.
Heading to the area, you use the fighters entrance to get in even though there were no events planed. The trainer was previously just looking through paperwork of those he trained, and is more than happy to throw that aside.
"Hey there kid, need anything?"

Ya' know what? Ill make an exception for you since your character is so interesting.
