Tasrak fiddles his with tablet, bringing up various designs.

"Preferably, I'd be my own boss, but I need the money."

[Twi]

Reina just grins.
Marie nods. "But of course."

"You seem pretty happy."

[Twi]

"Eh, I'm used to handling heavy weapons. And fortunately, I have a barrier specialist in my squad, so I can get away with the heavy weapons a bit more than I otherwise would."

[PrivateNomad]

"I like heavy heavy weapons. Like mechas. And spaceships."

[Vgray]

Tasrak brings a design for a clockwork rocket.

"Far below safety standards...maybe if this place was run by Goblins..."

Cuco thanked the maid profusely as he looked around his room. He didn't have that many stuffs with him as the consequence of one getting forcefully pushed through a dimension, so he simply left the bare room and decided that he will come back later when he can ask for some kind of job from the landlord.

He then goes around the town looking for jobs, hoping that he won't run into trouble.


Haruka-chan was bored at her job. Sure, blasting wubs in competition with Meow is fine and all but what she wanted was something more challenging. Reading yaoi has gotten kind of boring as well, which is a bad sign. She decided to take a day off and round up people to explore the nearby dragon's den. It is always a great idea to disturb an ancient being for the sake of wealth, of course.

"Hey! Anyone want to go beat up a dragon? N-not that I-I care about companions, of course!"

[Vgray]

"Because that's a great idea. Let me know how that goes, assuming you survive."

[Twi]

Cuco runs into trouble a TSAB Ground Forces private with a kanji-emblazoned duster, a fiery accent and an equally fiery attitude.

The chick who looks disturbingly like a schoolgirl gang leader proceeds to tap him on the shoulder. With her hands that have gauntlets made of iron chain.

"Yo. I thought you might be here."

This dark-haired, fiery-eyed girl (not even in her 20s!) is none other than Private Siesta. A little on the tall side, but nothign too big- her lean, muscular frame is a more obvious feature. Aside from that cocky grin and reckless attitude, the most notable thing about her would be her outfit that is totally not based on that one banchou in ViVid at all. Oh wait, it is. Anyways, she's definitely dressed to fight.

And coming in behind her...

That, on the other hand, is an almost seductive Spanish accent this new lady has.
"Now now, Siesta, don't break him. Hello, bunny-boy."

This lady is much more...refined, elegant, and of course, spanish. She even isn't in Barrier Jacket mode, opting for a slightly lower-cut variation on normal TSAB Ground Forces uniform. Somehow, she manages to make brown a sexy color.  Bright blonde hair, almost white, with gleaming eyes of green. Or is it blue? She's shorter than Siesta, but her presence somehow seems stronger than the reckless girl before her. She's also more adult, and not coincidentally, has some pretty impressive curves and assets to her, although the aforementioned skimpier-than-regulation uniform probably skews that a bit. A yellow crystal in a gleaming brass cage hangs from her neck, swirling with light.

"I'm Corporal Venza of the Time-Space Administration Bureau Ground Forces, and I'm here to offer you a job."

She smiles and waits for him to react. (Presumably in a silly manner.)

"Ow!" Cuco winced and rubbed his shoulder as if he had been given a noogie. Which her tap sort of was what with the gauntlet and all. He squeaked when another lady appeared and blushed, looking away from her outfit. "J-job? Wh-what kind of job?" he asked warily.

[Twi]

Corporal Venza smiled even brighter. "The brass don't like seeing people out on the street, and I can tell a great deal about your talents. Callisto?"

The gem on her neck SPEAKS. In semi-translated spanish.

"Si. [He possesses skills with esoteric ritual magic, and would be capable of learning many exotic techniques once introduced to them.]"

"Basically, what she's saying is that your ability to use weird skills and such is wanted."

"Please don't interrupt, Siesta. As I was saying, you are being offered a position as a Contract Mage, with the goal of assisting the construction of a transportation network to the planned Space Center on the equator. It's not so much that you need to help with the building. Rather, there are a lot of exotic and unusual barriers in the way, and someone has to deal with them. People like you, Mr. Cuco."

By now, Yuri has decided that there are one of three options, the first, that she's some sort of otaku cosplaying as an automaton maid complete with sound effects and colored, stiffened hair; the second that she's secretly using a, well, stress-relief tool, possibly movement-linked for some reason; the third that she is actually a construct with surprisingly advanced software and appearances, contrasting with surprisingly primitive mechanical components.
"Would that include military technology?"

The maid nod in excitement while the whirring is muffled by a door opening. She seems to bounce on her heels as she speaks.
"The master is good with all technology. He is the one who built the machine that made this entire building from scratch!"

Chris appears next to Haruka.
"Killing is wrong you know."

Haruka-chan shrugged "I did say 'beat up' didn't I? It'll get better. N-not th-that I care whether it lives, of course.


Cuco lights up at the mention of possibly learning interesting magic. He was supposed to study magic in Puffington Academy, before te whole hero thing derailed it. "D-does that mean I get to learn more about magic?" he looked enthusiastic and not shy for once.

[Twi]

Venza grins. "That's pretty much the idea. anyways, are you interested? If so, then you'll need to check in at Engineer headquarters with this~"

She gives him some basic paperwork, and directions to said headquarters.

"Take that there and they'll get you set up with further instructions~"
